When my dogs were younger I would go to the supermarket and have the butcher cut a cow femur into manageable lengths.

He would cut it into 3 and it cost $3

I think that's a rawhide bone she has in this pic btw. But the femur was about the same size.

Our Safeway has bags of cut up femur bones for dogs. So does our King Soopers. CO is a dog lover state, and my daughters dog is spoiled as hell. That lucky sucker gets like one a day.
