Free World, No Refunds

Correct Bernie has had little effect.

You and I (assuming you're in the US) are building those Islands in lieu of education standards here.
I'm in the Philippines. I'm going to spend several more months on conservation projects even though it's wet season. Hopefully we get a chance to clean up Boracay. There's a lot to do and the Gov't here is clearing the way for it. I've spent a lot of time working in Asia, including in Palawan, not long after China spread chemicals to kill off the fish stocks as a scorched earth (sea) policy to deter the other claimants to the water they're occupying. If the Spratly Islands ever were to open up, I would almost certainly be called by several people to get busy over there. I'm still holding out hope that Scarborough Shoal will become a dive site.

The Public Rail System being provided in the Philippines by China will free up much needed local spending.

I doubt it will make much of a difference. Jeepneys are cheap already and there are only a few cities in this archipelago. Besides, the rail tech China stole from Japan doesn't really lend itself to the geography here. It is costly and they have a poor record for reliability on the implementation of the technology. The cost of doing that sort of business with the Chinese communist party is to be loaded with debt and the trade system they enforce does far more than cancel the environmental benefits of switching to electric rail in one or two metropolitan areas. It's idealistic and naive to think China isn't inching toward dominance of the west Pacific. They don't respect the sovereign claims by the Philippines, recognised internationally, over the Spratly Islands and now they've armed them with vast arrays of missiles. China is belligerent and aggressive. The US has been too patient with them. The Chinese Communist Party is an unscrupulous and hyper authoritarian band of national socialists. They have traded in their communist ideals and made nationalism the primary tenet of their ideology. They even invaded Vietnam and killed 30k as a direct response to Vietnam's very righteous overthrow the Khmer Rouge. I would reject anything from the CCP.

The Chinese have been learning their American history very well, it seems.

What a nutcase.

Having read 'Economic Hitmen' I found his insights telling and explanatory.

Have you read any of his books? Or is a rush to judgement more your style?

He isn't the only nutcase who went from writing fiction and nonsense to spreading propaganda. Bernie Sanders used to write rape fantasy columns.
You calling someone else a nutcase. Now that's funny!

You throw a lot of shade for not having written anything more pithy than hateful comments on a weed blog.

Guy who thinks the Chinese Communist Party spreads freedom also loves to spam propaganda and takes personal offence to criticism of Bernie Sanders.

Exactly! When I read that list of titles that the guy has released, then oh yeah, it's quite enough for me to "rush to judgement" about the guy.

Secret History of the American Empire is another one.

By all means, any excuse not to read is a good one, eh?
