I disagree. China is a whole different issue for sure, but they are being used as a 'but China' scape goat.

Yeah it's not binary and people trying to make it such most often have ulterior motive. We can manage these issues with both China and Russia.

China requires a completely different strategy and much more effort and patience. China is playing the game, though a bit fast and lose with the rules. China is looking to beat America at it own game and take capitalism and beat America with it. China is more of a challenge than a threat, get your act together cause you have serious competition and no longer have the luxury of racism and republican stupidity. China won't be an issue with Joe, than like with an incompetent idiot like Trump. They have the world by the nuts and their economy is growing as fast as it can, they are happy with the current situation, Russia is not.

Russia is a nuked up third rate power that has an economy smaller than Italy with 144 million people. China has over a billion people, is rich and getting richer, they are also playing the diplomatic game and using their power and influence to make friends and allies. China is a much more dangerous and smarter adversary than Russia, they are an adversary and competitor, not an enemy, not yet. In the end China can make America better by keeping it on its toes, but America is full racist traitors who are the biggest impediment to progress.

The main thing to remember with Russia and China is to take them one at a time, Russia first since they are the weakest economically and this is how this war and all future ones will be fought, economically. The main thing is to keep them divided and never allow them to combine against you.

China might be assertive in their own backyard, but so is America. China is firmly part of the global economic system and doing as good as any country in human history to develop itself and raise the standard of living for it's population. I doubt they will do anything to fuck that up in the near future.

I'm getting a craving for some Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Stroganoff.

Stroganoff is so gross, not a big fan of Russian food...I do really like Russian people.

Tbh our military and government has done so much to fuck with other countries over the years that I view this (Russia meddling with us politics) as someone punching back rather than being the instigator. I'm just sort of ambivalent about it, I hate the disinformation that sells so well here and wish people could see through it, I don't necessarily care what the source is.

A bully can come up with any reason they want to do something to hurt someone, same with a con man.

I agree about hating disinformation.

The issue I have is one nation is currently using their military to attack our citizens with very dangerous propaganda and trying to get our politicians under their thumb.

This shit needs to stop.

Don't get me wrong, it sucks Russia is pushing bullshit and needs to stop, but in terms of government actors it's just what they sort of do. We should stop, they should stop, yadda yadda. For me it's the disinformation and loss of a shared reality that I see as the issue...there's a shitload of reasons and causes, and I don't really think there is a way to stop it, but I do think people can educate themselves in order to be less susceptible.

Well, I do like the classification of Wealthy White Heterosexual Male Only agenda pretty much covers virtually everything that is pushing the agenda.

We've not had the ability until very recently to use the online platforms to attack people in their homes. So I am really not willing to buy the 'both sides' argument about American government using their military to attack the citizens of another nation on anything even close to the scale that the Russian military have been caught doing to our citizens. Unless you want to dial it back to bad actors in the Republican party, then sure. But it is not government policy from anything that I have seen.

Outside of Trump and the Republicans. But we just voted that out.

I hope you are right and it is not like above, and people are actually even able to be less susceptible.

I think the best thing I heard was trying to get us to herd immunity, and hopefully we get there soon. These Republicans are not letting up on their disinformation campaigns and we have seen how dangerous it is that they keep it going.
