Loved em to death. I feel bad for ya. Just remember that the wild plants don't get a lot of the "love" we give them - and they survive.

Are you sure it was the molasses and not something else. I've tried it a little @ 1 tsp per gallon with no problem.

Even though they look brown and rotted (I am assuming they are in hydro if you are seeing that). You might be able to save them. I had one that got like that and a couple other plants and was able to save them. It really looked like shit and I was about to throw it out but decided to play with it to see if I could get it to come back. I might have used molasses in it though. I don't remember if I used it in the hydro but I did use it in soil. I did'nt have any problem there and they were very young. But I also did a nute change at the same time so I am not sure what was to blame.

molasses can be used in hydro you just need lots of dissolved oxygen in yer water but really its not worth it to much can go wrong....soil or hydro h202 will eat up the dead roots and badies in the soil and promote healthy growth

Use General Hydroponics FloraNectar. Shit is amazing! it has all the molasses that you would need and some other natural sweeteners. I have seen and smelled the great effects from just one res change! :) And it is pretty cheap to top it off. That is pretty much the safest way to get molasses into you hydro system. just adding "organic unsulphered molasses" will get you a thick soup of sugar water. Dont do it to your self ;)

Last two weeks of flower is the only time you use that, and no not hydro but even still I'm pretty certain that is not the cause of your problem. It can't kill on it's own, but it may have accellerated growth of some other bacteria, fungus, or pest which in your case is probably good old root rot.

Do you have any tiny gnats flying around? Where there's root rot there's usually gnats and you'll find their larvae wiggling around in your res and eating your roots. They're tiny, you'll probably need a good magnifying glass to see the larvae.

Brown roots... Possible fungus gnats... H202 and then res flush and add more h202 again. Problem solved.

well dont say i didnt warn you molasses is shit in a hydro setup, it rots your roots in a matter of days

i was soo pissed all the work i put in to my first grow only to start all over again

for me it seemed to clog up the tiny roots so they couldnt suck anything into them and they just rotted.

i couldnt even smoke the buds cuz they were only 4 weeks into flower. I basically just threw about a half lb of buds in the trash.

it was very very very horrible expiriance, but a great lesson. Now i am very wary of putting anything in there unless im 110% about it.
