Fumble's First Grow

I hear if you put certain plants in the garden it attracts ladybugs and keeps them around.
I think in Fumbles situation the ladybugs was a gamble, I think some kind of spray was needed at that time. I agree that Ladybugs is the safest/best way to deal with plant pests, but not when the infestation was that bad.
TMB-

i agree with your statement as well, when i have an infestation i use a spray bug combo. i like to prevent them before they start though

Good morning gentlemen. I was reading online about Green lions. They are green lacewing larvae or juvies maybe, but they are voracious eaters like the ladybugs...they just don't fly away.

I was wondering about the butterflies Kotton! lol

Well, I got up around 5 something this morning. Was out there by 6 spraying the efff out of my girls. Picked some worms, kicked out a moth, saw a ladybug and another mantis! Sprayed the effff outta everything, flowers, veg. they are not going to win!

figured out how to take real close-ups, so hopefully they turned out..

The pic of the flowers is where I am going to plant 1 plant next year. :weed: I had my tomatoes there last year and they went ape shit. These Mexican sunflowers were only supposed to get 48" and they are over 6 feet!

:O)~ well have a good one I must be headed into the garden for a long day of staking and pruning ... It never ends .. lol

Yeah? Thanks man! I just sprayed them with the BT again not too long ago.. Still seeing the damn white flies on the GR but not as many. Saw another baby mantis though! He's only about an inch long.

I totally broke an arm on my CC when I was spraying. I fixed it with some pipecleaners, but will need to brace it a lot more. I barely moved it and it broke. Getting heavy!
