I have a couple Grandaddy Purp clones, got them two weeks ago. They have been outside for about six days now and dont appear to be getting any bigger! One of them had slime on the top layer of mulch the other day, there are alot of banana slugs around here. Did the slime come from a slug??? Also they are in 4 oz. red drink cups, should I put them in the ground yet??? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!:peace:

...are you serious? We're here to help you, not to be your personal servants. Depending on when you post and who's on, you may have to wait more than 12 hours for an answer. Jeeeeez! Patience is an absolute necessity for a grower, so you need to get some!

The slugs are probably not a good thing, but I don't know much about that aspect. The part that's definitely not good is the 4 oz drink cups. That's really fucking small! Aren't shot glasses 1.5 oz?? Most likely they're too big to keep growing in that container (roots need to be able to spread out). Get them into a much bigger container (1 to 3 gallons) or maybe into the ground (if they're healthy enough for that...?).

Thanks Kilik,I dont meen to be impatient I just thought I was being ignored. I have Jorge Cervantes' grow bible and it says that a 4oz. container will support a clone for three to six weeks and that clones shouldnt be put in the ground til they are like 12 inches tall with a decent root ball??? I did that with some NYCDs and they are goin' crazy but the GDPs on the otherhand seem to be STUNTED!!! Thank U again for the response........

Hmm well Jorge certainly knows his shit way better than I do lol. That still seems crazy though... 4 oz container... The 12" figure definitely seems smart though. At that point they'd be safe from the small critters, and strong enough to do well on their own.

I dunno, they could be stunted for a number of reasons. I don't know much about it myself, but I think people use a product called SuperThrive when they're having problems with stunted growth and many other things. Look into it, I guess, and maybe someone else can help you out.

Can we get some more details on their growing conditions? temps, humidity, soil, lights, and any other pertinent info...

Hey Kilik, thank you for the quik response!!! We have been having cold nights here for the last week, humidity has been at 100%!!! I got them from the club and pretty much put them right outside, hardening them as I have read!!! Just started putting them in direct sun yesterday,I may just being too impatient cause I started the Diesels the same way.The NYDs are in the ground now and growing like fuckin' crazy(2 inches a day)!!!! Thanks again 4 the input,MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!

Oh having it cold at night could definitely stunt growth, and some strains react worse than others. But give it time and it'll work out. You could start moving them inside during the nights, if that's possible. Otherwise, it sounds like you're doing a good job. Keep it up man!

Yea go for it, man. Are they doing okay in the ground? That transplant can be stressful to them, so don't worry too much if they haven't grown much in the last few days. But yea I come on here multiple times a day, so ask a question here whenever you want. I'm happy to help.

I got em' in the the ground yes,and they have improved. I have since got more clones, 2 more GDPs and a couple Grape Apes. The new GDPs are thriving, would it hurt to plant them two to a hole with my older Granddaddys'????
