when you say o mL GRO / 10 mL Micro / 15 mL Flora - you mean Flora Bloom right? or are you talking about another product?

hey green hornet. i would be wary of following someone elses nutrient schedule. especially one with such high e.c values.

im not dissing growers warehouse at all im sure he has great results but i would not put too much stock in his values as it will be different for different strains and different set ups. you are much better off starting low and reading your plants to figure out the strength you should be running. if you want to follow his schedule i would just use his schedule as a guide for ratios of grow micro bloom. if that makes sense.

an easy way to tell how strong your nutrient should be is this. if the ppms in your res are dropping you can feed stronger. if they are rising you are feeding too strong

I just follow the schedule on the bottles and box I got DSCN2181.jpg. If the plants take off and show no signs of stress I bump up the Gro

Thanks for the advice dude, but I wasn't considering changing my tried and proven techniques :) (yet, that is) - just wanted to know if there was a product out there that I wasn't aware of. I saw his nutrient regimen and noticed he seems to be using the same amounts of "flora" as one would normally use of bloom, just wanted some clarification. I think he meant to say bloom.

I know this is an old thread but I have a pretty simple question that sort of pertains to this topic. Im new to hydro, DWC Bubbleponics specifically. I have a 4'x4'x6.5' Mylar Grow Tent, 1000w MH&HPS Switchable Light System, 440cfm Exhaust w/8"x20" Austrailian Carbon Filter, and 3 5gal bubble buckets. Since im new to this im thinking of starting with GH Flora Series Performance Pack. Is this enough to get through a 2.5-3 month grow with 3 plants and are these nutrients the lowest quailty, most basic regime for hydro grows like most of the pro's suggest? I know theres Canna, Fox Farms, and many others that are suggested to be advanced nutrient systems but isnt GH Flora specifically formulated for high performance hydro culture also? I know there are flavor enhancers and all that stuff but those are mostly sugar based and plants do not absorb sugars. They produce sugars and leech sugars into the subtrate to take care of thier symbiotic microbes such as mycorrhyzae. There are many growers that dont know these things. Anyway, quality of GH Flora Series, and grows per starter pack? If the starter pack doesnt get through at least one entire grow its surely not worth $40!

yea you should be able to go through the entire grow with the starter pack and yes you should be able to get good quality buds from gh flora. if you want my opinon , just get a small bottle of floranova and youre good. floranova is better than flora series. All additives are just marketing strategy, useless, stick with a good nutrients.

btw if you really want a high quality hydroponic fertilizer for your setup , I highly recommand canna aqua.

So instead of the starter pack I should have just bought a quart of each, floragrow, bloom, and macro? It figures, I could have got 3 quarts instead of 3 16oz bottles. Is that the same with any brand, just use the base nutes? Someone recommended with DWC to always use Pro-Tekt and an aquasafe root rot protectant. What do you think about that? Also I appreciate the advice and recommendations!

the 3 bottle you talking about is flora series; bloom, grow, micro. The floranova is one part nutrients, it's thick like mud.they sell 2 formula , one for veg , one for bloom and both work very good in my experience. if youre sticked on gh , floranova >flora series.

protekt, root stimulator etc.... isnt required and cause often more trouble than benefice.

in dwc you want to avoid organic products because they promote bacteria and fungus growth.

That whys I use and only recommand canna aqua with dwc/rdwc setup. It's clean;it contain no harmfull/nasty ingrédients,it work and its friendly with plants mean no nutrient stress or build up.one thing people often ignore is that most nutrients on market are chelated with edta. edta is known to be harmful to plants even in low ppm and the problem with edta is that plants dont uptake edta so it build up in the root zone.

So if you're concerned about the quality of your fertilizer remember this; high quality nutrients are chelated with a mix of dtpa/eddha iron.Other micronutrients shouldnt be chelated , since we dont want EDTA in our solution.

Gotcha, I appreciate this! Is the Flora Kleen really needed between every nutrient switch as it suggests on the bottle? And at the end, wont two weeks of plain water flush the plant on its own?

I love the flora series. It's everything you need, though after reading this thread, what are some good bloom boosters?

Morbloom 0-10-10 is a good bloom booster. And its fairly cheap. I pay I think $8 for a quart, and like $27 for a gallon.

I should probably add that even though Morbloom isn't OMRI listed it is derived from organics(fish) and my use of this product was soil/substrate cultivation. I have not used it for hydro. I have used it in a fog for foliar feeding(veg only).

How does the GH Floralicious bloom and grow compare to the GH Floranova bloom and grow? When I bought the GH FloraSeries Performance Pack I didn't realize GH had more advanced nutes.

Floralicious is an additive used with your regular fert routine. My understanding is the flora nova is just more concentrated so you use less. A gallon of micro and 2 gal of bloom last me about 4 grows. And then your addatives like, protekt, cal mag, Koolbloom,Floralicious, and hydroguard. My EC never goes above 1.9

I just use single DWC Bubble Buckets so I really just keep up on PH and TDS though I probably should consider EC. The link above is the Florolicious Duo Base Nutes I spoke of.

Oh, I didnt see that. No, right now im just using GH FloraSeries Grow, Micro, Bloom, Floralicious Plus, Rapid Start, Kool Bloom, and Hydroguard as soon as it gets here because I am unable to keep my nutes below 79f even though my ambient is 75-76f.

I like to use M.O.A.B (mother of all blooms) all alone for the last 3-4 days at the end of a cycle, just before the flush. It's a powder 0-52-32 are the n-p-k values. I just use a teaspoon per 5 gallons.

If you're looking to PKboost at the end, and you're using the floraseries, no need to buy anything else.
1 part micro, 3-4 parts bloom. It used to be right on the bottle/s;-)
