General Hydroponics Flora Series

I like to use M.O.A.B (mother of all blooms) all alone for the last 3-4 days at the end of a cycle, just before the flush. It's a powder 0-52-32 are the n-p-k values. I just use a teaspoon per 5 gallons.
MOAB is just monopotassium phosphate. It's way cheaper to just get generic monopotasium phosphate.

If you're looking to PKboost at the end, and you're using the floraseries, no need to buy anything else.
1 part micro, 3-4 parts bloom. It used to be right on the bottle/s;-)
What does "part" mean? 1 ppm, surely not? What would be the measurement per gal? 1 part micro to 1 part water is 50%, thats way too much. 1ml micro and 3-4ml of bloom to one gal?

have you ever tried Lucas formula? 8ml micro/16ml bloom per gallon RO. no additives needed.

I have not but ive heard about it. I know a lot of people that just use GH Flora Micro and Flora Bloom a little Hydroguard and thats it.
it's all i've ever used. works like a champ. i use silica too. and chlorine to prevent root rot.

i use it now in flora duo series. 1 part a to 3 parts b.

Using the example of the Lucas formula for flowering, which is 8ml/gal micro, 16ml/gal bloom: that is 1 part micro 2 part bloom;-)
You could go 7ml/gal micro, 14ml/gal bloom, and that is also 1part micro 2part bloom.

Oh ok, gotcha! ;)

I been growing a loooooooooong time and to me one part something to two parts water means(example) 1tbsp nute/2tbsp water. That's why I was confused. :)

Why chlorine and not Hydroguard? Hydroguard also aids in nute absorbtion. Very good stuff and not too expensive. Im confused because in hydro we usually do all we can to eliminate chlorine but your intentionally using it?

can't use hydroguard with a sterile system.

Whats the reason for sterility? Im not questioning you, just trying to understand. I run a sterile system too but I use hydroguard. Meaning I sanitize everything that comes in contact with the nute solution at start and between nute changes. Then I use hydroguard because I cant get my nutes below 75f.

you can also run chlorine to keep a sterile system from start to finish. dutchmaster zone is basically bleach for hydro, you can use clorox but i just started using HTH pool shock (49%chlorine). it's some amazingly small amount (0.15 grams per 10 gallons water) so a LB bag will last me years.

hydroguard (not to knock it) is really a soil bacteria as the main ingredient.

i just prefer a totally sterile system. especially with high res temps. i do hempy buckets now so the nute solution will get up to my grow room temp of 78F.

I see, yes Hydroguard is a bacteria that promotes healthy root growth and breaks down nutes for easier absorption. The way it works is it inoculates the solution and multiplies rapidly and its such an aggressive bacterica no bad bacteria can survive and is actually believed the hydroguard eats the bad bacteria. Ive seen people with bad root rot put this in there solution and 3 days new white roots everywhere. It really is excellent stuff. Chlorine would scare me. Does it flush out when you run your week to two week flush cycle? Does it cause any harshness when you moke it?

yep, chlorine does the same for roots. bright white all the time. its only 2ppm. plants can handle up to 5ppm. you drink (if you are on muni water) 2ppm chlorine. no harshness. unless you smoke your roots? lol.

Wise guy huh, lol. Tap water is supposed to be .5-1.0ppm chlorine, ours is double 1.8ppm! I cannot drink it, fucks my guts up. I used it in my fogger two winters ago and it caused a white powder all over and in everything. It ruined our DVD and Bluray players, Xbox, tv everything basically electronic. Cleaning did nothing! Im still finding white powder in places. I run only distilled or spring water in my fogger now, I have an unlimited supply of natural spring water I just have to go get it once every two weeks. That's also what we drink. Our tap water is 271ppm.

we're on well water and i get that white powder too. i don't think it's the chlorine. since our well has none. the lab that analysed our sample said either it was teh calcium or the carbonate in the water. i forget which. but i ran a cool mist humdifier with our water and everything in the tent was coated with shite. in every nook and cranny.

you should try a liter of dutchmaster zone instead of your hydroguard. it's like 13 bucks/liter. i used it at 2mL/gallon so cheap to run.sterile from start to finish.
