test the ph and you can use any water thats around 6.5-7.0 ph.thanks.. anyway i just bought some nestle pure life water
it is enhanced with minerals for taste.
the source is from deep protected well and is reversed osmosis or distillation and enhanced with a balance of minerals for taste. do you guys think this would be a good choice of water just for germing?
gotcha. also i bought rockwool cubes. there are 2inch circular ones. i think i made a mistake in adding boiling water to clean the rockwool cubes in a plastic container. i dont know if the plastic has any chemicals that may affect the seeds. should i just throw them away and just use new rockwool soaking them in the ro water for 24 hours? or just use the ones that had boiling water poured on to it to soak?test the ph and you can use any water thats around 6.5-7.0 ph.

anyone on the boiling waters??gotcha. also i bought rockwool cubes. there are 2inch circular ones. i think i made a mistake in adding boiling water to clean the rockwool cubes in a plastic container. i dont know if the plastic has any chemicals that may affect the seeds. should i just throw them away and just use new rockwool soaking them in the ro water for 24 hours? or just use the ones that had boiling water poured on to it to soak?
also do i use 6.5-7.0 even germinating for hydro or that doesnt matter yet? even in rockwool cubes
if the seeds are planted just leave them and it will be fine and next time use cool water.anyone on the boiling waters??
that sounds good.. seeds arent in yet just worried i got plastic too hot and leak some chemicals.. i was just soaking over night in bottle water after the boiling water was in for less than 1 min after i realized boiling water and plastic.if the seeds are planted just leave them and it will be fine and next time use cool water.
i dont think the plastic will cause an issue unless you melted it in to the cube.
(good luck).

i heard thats not a really good temp. best is around 80 but not over 85 and not under 75how warm does it have to be? Room temp (65-70)? Or should I put the bag under something like a T-shirt in my car (where it can be much warmer, due to a mini-greenhouse effect (80)?
i put it in a plastic container inside a cooler with some warm-hot waterput on top of your cable or satelite receiver...works like a charm for me...
ok do not put warm hot water... my temp got up to 91 degrees i just realized my room temp in there is about 80 degree so i just put 2 ice cubes in there to cool down the water.i put it in a plastic container inside a cooler with some warm-hot water
as the steam goes up to the bottom of the container it seems to keep the rockwool at 78.6 degrees.
might be a dumb question..but i cant seem to get my seeds to sprout outside...maybe its too hott...idk..im in Texas lol and it get pretty hot...but i keep them moist..and i still havent got any to pop soil yet....any suggestions?
whats the temperature there. use a ac if its past 80 i'd say no lights till they sprout from what i read
ok i think everyone should use a cooler. 3 days to sprout 1.5 inch on almost all of them. 2 of the 10 didnt break the rockwools yet but seem to be coming in soon. temp 77-83 averageto germ put it in a cooler with a thermostate that has a external wire for taking the temp in the rockwool. too hot put a few ice cube under the trey that isnt touching the bottom of the cooler.. dont know how to explain it try to imagine a small cooler and have a plastic container 6 inch away from bottom of cooler. i think its a great way to retain heat with warm water or ice if its too hot
