Try filling a cup up half way with water and putting the seeds in the cup with the water for a couple days until the root tips show then put it into the soil!

I am a total newb, have tried to germinate a total of 23 seeds, however all 23 have germed! I soak over night, plant in jiffy pellets in the jiffy greenhouse with a heating pad set on warm till they pop... Its an auto pad so it shuts off after 2 hours so I just turn it back on when I notice...

i never know how those jiffy pellets work do you just peel back the netting and put the seed in there than put the dome over it ? and you soak the seeds for 24 hours ? i dont have a heating pad so ...

I had 80% germination with using a damp paper towel in a zip lock sandwhich bag. It's got to be the water, or too much/ not enough sunlight maybe. You could always by a cheap water test kit, and then at least you'd know for sure. Good luck

like how wet does the towel have to be do you squeeze all the water out the towel than wrap them up and put them in the ziplock bag air tight ?

just soak until the taproot is well out. 100 percent success. then plant in rr, jiffy, rw, or soil or whatever. they grow like crazy. water is the key. I use tapwater with 8 ph and lots of minerals. water softeners tho are bad. they add sodium which is bad.

I typically will soak the paper towel, then ring it out. Place your seeds on half of the damp paper towel and fold the other half over the seeds-- so that the seed is covered on top and bottom. I spread the seeds out a little too, instead of just piling them all in. Then make sure you seal the zip lock bag, and stick it somewhere that will get at least half a day of indirect sun-- I'' use a window ledge on the south or east side of my house for lots of morning sun. You'll see condensation form inside the bag after a couple of days-- that's okay. I use this technique for starting almost any plant from seed, MJ or not, and I'd say 85-90% success rate.

do you open the sandwhich bag every day till the tap roots show or just leave the sandwhich close for 1 -2 days

If you have a warm area U shouldnt need a heating pad, only place safe from the dogs in my house is under the sink. I forgot to add, and I know this isn't the norm btw, I also keep them under a $6.99 "Grow" light from Walmart on 18/6 from as soon as they go into the pellets... When I first started I had no idea U could learn online so I was guessing, since that is the 1 thing that was working for me I did not change it...

I also use tap water left out for 24 hours with a PH of 6.5

thanks kimi i been trying to plant these autoflowers forever i got one thats growing now pretty good but all other 15 never sprouted imma try the jiffy pellet thing you can buy at walmart that has a little greenhouse in it to see if that works do you just lift the netting up and put the seed under the netting or what i dont know exactly how those pellets work ?
