Get in shape

How do you get into shape, I'm not to heavy or anything but I want to drop 20-30 pounds I weigh 207 but I feel like my lean wieght should be 185. Does any one know a good way to do it? My lifting schedule is great but I don't do any cardio or anything else other than boxing, I also don't have a diet plan either so if any ones got a good diet let me know.

i lost 25lbs in 6 months and got hard. i swear this is the toughest workout ever but the results are worth it big time

Jogging alway helps :) just have to watch what you eat and eat lots of fruit :)
I cannot jog for more than like 5 min I have no idea why I dont get tired at all but my calfs which are ridiculous tighten up and then it hurts to the point I can't walk for about 20 min, I think it may be from working on my legs so much they are rock solid I put up 4 sets of 800lbs 10 reps more than anyone I know does. I thought it was shin splits but its only when I run or jog.

you prolly need to adjust your metabolism; you eat three meals a day? split it up into five throughout the day & it'll pick up your metabolic rate. stretch before you walk; walk alot, you don't need to jog, too much impact. you'll burn it off.

It works bro, works real good. Ive always been in good shape, but after a month or two on the p90x I'm in the best shape of my life, better than in high school and I was super cut back then too! Give it a shot, youll love the results. At least worth a free download if you don't want to pay

Stop ordering large when you eat out and get a pedal bike :) for some reason cycling rarely seems like a "workout" but damn it's a good workout. I'm the same as you, jogging and running are just no-no's/

if jogging is too much impact for your legs then try swimming or cycling, great cardio workouts and easy on your joints as well. Just always keep your body guessing when it comes to cardio workouts, constantly changing up from swimming, to cycling, to even an eliptical for running and all the different cardio workouts will kick you into shape. Of course if you don't eat right with your workout it's just going to slow you down. I'm not nutritionist though so exercise and diet is all I can say haha :)

Basically its all calories consumed V calories burnt. You need to find find how many calories you burn per day(Basal Metabolic Rate) and deduct 500 calories or so. Of what you eat, try and make a majority of it lean protein eg. tuna, chicken, eggs and complex carbs eg. oatmeal, multigrain breads etc. Good luck bro I believe in ya!

Swimming is great aswell, you use a lot of muscles plus you feel great and refreshed afterwords. I go to the local pool twice a week and do lengths till im bolloxed.

As what tip top is sayin cycling is great! Find a nice scenic route .ie canals and lake roads.

Well I find that if you hide your snacks, go toke, upon munchies you gotta run around the house finding them all (lol or simply forget where they are at)

that will prevent you from gaining weight while smoking LOL

Yeah my metabolism is probably dead, for a couple years I get home from school go out smoke weed then come home and eat so I hues 1 large meal a day is what I eat, and that can't be good I just need to control the munchies and get a meal plan.

If you are already in pretty good shape you need to increase your cardio. This all depends on your % body fat of course. If jogging is out, try an elliptical machine if you have access to one. I just finished up a tough semester at school and had absolutely no time to work out so I had to shift my diet quite aggressively. Points I have to keep my weight at least constant(w/some weight loss) was to actually write down what I eat and how much. I used a program similar to weight watchers to count my caloric intake and equate it w/ what little exercise I was trying to fit in now and then. As for diet a good stance to start would be no more red meat. Replace it with leaner meats like pork or chicken, or even better try replacing meat altogether w/ vegetables. It tough but if you can eat at least 2 veg dinners a week will be a good start. There are more vitamins and protein in veg then meat anyways. Nice thank you, I will probably have eggs in he morning some oatmeal next then chicken is that a meal plan lol?
