giving up on my first grow?

You need to get rid of that miracle grow soil. Find some that has no added nutes. Little plants don't need any extra nutes until they are at least a month old and even then you want to do 1/4 strength.

mjnme, I was looking through your grow (journal of sorts). It certainly seems like you've been on one heck of a rollercoaster ride.
Sounds to me you do have a handle on things now, if I may....I'd like to point out a method I have used when measuring water.....lets say you were using rubbermaid containers (or any pot for that matter).....first if you have a stopwatch.....time how long it takes to fill the container to the brim....
once filled, stop the timer......say if you were growing in a 5gal container and it took 6 minutes, it would take approx. 30 seconds per gal.
Just my .02, wish ya a great harvest.

Try repoting with a biger poter and fill the dirt all the way to the first set of nodes. Keep it tied and keep the fan on it, that will help alot. If you can stay away from MG. If you do use MG I would invest in distilled water and no nutes until atleast 4 weeks if strong enough. Def need more light to, try adding some cfls that will help to. Good Luck!

If it is those first little rounded ones, that is natural. They always die off a few weeks into the grow. Think of them as baby leaves to our baby teeth. There comes a point when the plant is just done with them.

If that was my plant I would tie that baby closer to the bend, above and below the bend. Also, if you're patient, try it over again like you said. The fan trick works like a charm but you have to be right on it! Good luck

hey im sorry for fucking up the thread but i ahve nooo idea how to start a new one i have a germinating seed but its been for days and all thats came out was a little root but for the past two days the root has barelly grown out ?? what should i do throw it ot and restart or is thatsometimes normal??

Plant the seed about 1/2 deep in your soil (Miracle grow soil tends to nute burn the plants, so try not to use it, soil with no added nutes is the best if you ask me). I go ahead and put them under a light so they can feel the heat and grow toward it. I like to keep my seedlings moist, but everyone has a different opinion on that you'll find.

ahh the past two days
the 2 first leaves have just turned yellow and sorta died
like they even turned over
can i just take them off?
because all the other leaves are starting to grow slowly but surely...
can i just take off the first 2 leaves?
and also those 'fake' leaves that come out that are ovally are yellow but dead?
can i take those off too?
