Gnat Sack .. an idea in the works.

are you working with a specifically antimicrobial fabric? it being in contact with wet soil or sitting in water is a bit of a concern but im sure you thought of that by now lol

I like the idea.
How the material lasts under the grow room light or even outside sun, will be the factor that determines if they are reusable. Stuff gets brittle and crumbles after being in the sun for extended periods.
Id test out a few on 3-5 gallon air pots for you.

As a small hobby grower,
I’d buy 12 to start.
Depending on price.
cheap to me is $5-6 each for a 3-5 gallon
Expensive $10-12 in my mind.
But I have no clue.
Just throwing it out there for you.

Ya mould can happen. I transplanted 2 gallon pots so I had to cut a slit in the sheet for the stem. I used masking tape and after 2 months I noticed a little on the tape. Perhaps next time I’ll use tuck tape.

Still looking at different materials... R&D takes some time to make sure you have something that is going to last through light exposure for long periods of time, and possibly be antimicrobial.
