Well, Cali can have Obama, we'll put Arnold in ... Texas to replace Ron Paul and take Ron Paul.

Everyone's happy.
california can't hog all the good politicians.

on a more serious note: california would never survive on it's own. It, like all the states, is very dependent on the symbiotic relationship it has with the rest of the states.

i don't see how they can control all of the home growers, the income that might be generated is just a pipe dream. if it were legal none of my friends would ever go out and buy , nor would any of their extended family . i would love to see this legalization of cannabis take place , but , the government knows too well what will happen, and if they can't make money on the deal , it ain't happening.....if there are people on this forum who will pay for government weed , please speak up , and tell me why .

Fdd you didn't used to sound happy about legalization, aren't you worried that your livelihood will be over and the weed prices will drop substantially? $50 pounds. Packs of joints at 7/11 for $5.

Home growing wouldn't be taxed for personal use I don't think, just as home production of alcohol for personal use is not taxed. Most will just buy though, so the revenue stream for taxes will be there. Most will never go through the trouble it takes to grow even if it's as legal as carrots.

yeah I agree with you on the part that home growing probably wouldnt be taxed for personal use, because I dont see how they would be able to get them to pay that $50 every time they chop an oz

I saw on the news today that 1 in 5 people in LA county are on welfare, and they expect that number to soar.

LA county. Home of 250k gang members, that county? 1 out of 4 people are illegals, that LA county? I'm shocked to hear such news, just when things were going good huh?
What state doesn't have it's own LA county?
This an odd domino effect seeing both sides collapsing onto itself.

Los Angeles County spends over $350,000,000 per MONTH paying people who are on the county dole. Add to that the fact that Los Angeles County is the largest employer in the state (government workers) and you begin to see the enormity of the situation.

The real question is what does the government gain by keeping cannabis laws on the books and can it be used for other agendas aswell? what would they lose if made legal?
How could the feds justify the monster hero system that it's become, without having an enemy? Every good hero has an enemy that it can beat, but not defeat. The gov needs users and sellers like a car needs gas.
What an odd thought.....the police would have once viewed them as the scum of america, the drug pusher and dope feen!! would now just be small business owners living the american dream and people who simply enjoy the adult beverage.

Hey, it's pretty well known how it benefits the government system greatly to continue prosecuting marijuana users.. but the bottom line is that we all know it's WRONG to be prosecuting us.. all this negativity is NEVER going to change things. They are the crooks and criminals for what they do- not us, positive attitudes here people. If you don't wanna fight to change things then at least get the f*ck off the field and leave it to those of us who believe victory IS an option.. don't stand here telling everyone how 'big and strong' the other team is and how we will 'never win' and how it's in their best interest to beat us.. LMFAO. WE KNOW what we're up against..

Those in Cali, please call your reps and urge them to pass this.
