They were all straight 6 engines, mine was 2.8 liters. Turbos came a few years later, but the cars had also gotten fatter and heavier by then.didn't they throw turbos an 6s into some of the 280s

have you seen some of these TV auctions and the prices they get for restored 240Z's? amazing.
there is a 280zx that is rotting away in a field near me. been thinking about asking what they want for it. but do i really need a 4th vehicle?? wifey no likey. lol.
Bet on it. They don't like you whackin' coons, ya know...Speaking of cars, a coon committed suicide on my left front bumper the other night. I have to take it to the body shop tomorrow. {the car, not the coon} The deductible is only a hundred bucks, but I wonder if my rates will go up.
Made it up to a whole 17 today. Single digits tonight and maybe even above freezing tomorrow! It was a cool, blustery day today. It's partly cloudy, 57F with 55% humidiyy at 1655. It got up to 61F earlier, and the forecast low for tonight is 37F.
It was too cool to work {or hike} without a jacket. but it had to be a light one or you would start sweating. Lot of sun early though. Wasn't too bad out of the wind. I took a long walk scoping out spots for the Spring crop.Made it up to a whole 17 today. Single digits tonight and maybe even above freezing tomorrow!
good ole datsun, been a while since ive heard that nameThey were all straight 6 engines, mine was 2.8 liters. Turbos came a few years later, but the cars had also gotten fatter and heavier by then.
I'm very safe now, but still tempted to have another taste. I do have a touch more work to do, so I might had better wait if I want to finish at a decent hour. It's currently a balmy 28, made it into the upper 30s today, mostly cloudy. It's supposed to warm up over the weekend, into the 50s and sunny. In Colorado. In December.
This isn't actually unusual at all, it's just a well kept secret. So keep it to yourself, yo.
First safety meeting was taste testing to see if the run is cured. This one was to get ready for the hot tub.
I'll post some pics in my thread tomorrow of Sonic Screwdriver. You'll understand when you see them.
The badge was itself memorable, it read;good ole datsun, been a while since ive heard that name

Datsun, by Nissan
No shit.
I had a 1977 Toyota Corolla wagon. It could only be killed by running it into the side of a mountain. Even then, it got me and my buddy home! That's funny my dad was a Datsun freak! He gave me my first truck a 71' 1600, man I drove the wheels off that thing. Among multiple trucks he also owned his prized mid sixties 1300 station wagons, one was for parts of course. I have some good memories of car camping all around California, Nevada in those classics.
lol sounds like this 1981 buick lesabre my dad had bought and gave me to drive. I tried to burn that yellow motherfucker up when I was in high school, but I hardly could kill it. Finally managed to seize the engine up after putting it through hell and back more than once.I had a 1977 Toyota Corolla wagon. It could only be killed by running it into the side of a mountain. Leave one small drift to hold your beer.44 now, the daily high. Mostly cloudy but calm, I hear there's snow back in our forecast.
Reminds me, I need to keep the walk to the hot tub shoveled.
