I trimmed up a couple plants yesterday and one of the trimmings I took had a couple small shoots off of it so I figured I'd monkey around and see if I could get it to root for practice when I do clones. I was working with what I have.
1 qt Mason jar, band, and lid
1 small (4oz i believe) jelly Mason jar and band
1 small (2" i believe) netpot
1 foam collar
I cut the stem at a 45 and scraped the bottom half inch or so of the stem as well. I placed it in the collar and the. Squeezed that into the top of the net pot. I then placed that in the jelly jar and held it against the edge so the band actually pinched the net pot in place to keep it from floating up and/or tipping. I filled that jar with ro water. Placed the small jar on the upside down lid and band for the quarter jar. Lowered the quarter jar over the plant and screwed it down to act as a terrarium. My plan is to open it once or twice a day just long enough to refresh the co2 for the plant. I then stuck it in the corner of my tent and leaned a piece of spare tent material over it so it isn't getting too much light.
I dont know if it will work and don't really care. I was a little high last night and bored.
It was a little wilted when I put it in there last night, but this morning it was perked up and couldn't have looked any healthier. Time will tell if it will work.
