greenleaf megacrop

Yeah I just found this issue. Jacks for blumats and drippers and megacrop for hand feed non reservoir stuff it seems. I went through the whole thread on IC just a bit ago. I am going to be using a res and refuse to ever hand water twice a day or take care of moms hand watering ever again. Only time I had things go wrong in hydro cloning or res is when I add organic shit to it so not going to go through the whole slime stuff again. i did not realize at first mega had gone the organic hydro route. I know it is probably better results but I need to work less.

Good info here. I may be forced to go back to coco here soon due to grow room issues with soil and will give the new formula with sweet candy for my first run in almost 10 years using coco a try. Anyone using this in blumat lines? I do not want to go back to the constant watering of a big garden again so going to run blumats or go cheaper drip I just don't ant to rely on electricity though..
I remember reading in the orig thread...

put a filter bag before sending nutes to the Blumats

Yeah not so much worried about the organic particles as I am fuckin slime that ruins every piece of equipment it touches. I will never do organic hydro stuff again :P Too damn expensive and frustrating.

Are you saying the slime comes from mega crop?

I've mixed up a gallon jug of RO water with 2g MC and then used about half of that mixture on some rooted clones. I left the rest sit in the jug with a lid on it and went to use it again a couple days later. There was a brown film on the bottom of the jug and some on the sides. Also some sediment on the bottom. It was no big deal for me....I just gave it a good shake and used it anyways. But not sure how that would affect a rez or drip lines.

I run MC on drip in my greenhouse, haven't had a single clog. I'm plan on running it in blumats too here in the near future. A circulation pump in the res and a filter should keep everthing working fine.

Yup anytime you introduce a sugar or any organic compound to a reservoir that is not recirculated and oxygenated you are asking for trouble. I have done this so many fuckin times on my own to know to never do it again. You may be fine certain seasons of the year but one bad summer streak in the south or one power outage and you are done for. I would really like this company to offer a non-organic version. Don't get me wrong I am not anti-organic by any means. I do not want to switch from my current 100% organic soil regime to coco and salts, but my grow environment and mass-competition from mass-import mid-grade weed from legal states dictates it. Organic hydro with no slime issues I am sure is fantastic, but not worth the risk for me. Been there done that. I remember trying to use EWC, Kelp, and all that other bullshit in my Aero cloners based off some threads back in the day and even recommended it after a successful run...Didn't turn out so well down the road no matter the temp of the water pool shock or other bs to supposedly kill and prevent slime. Not trying to do it again on a larger scale. Ran into the same problem doing all the EWC teas and what not.
EWC teas and all the jive are great until you go anaerobic one time in your hydro system and water buckets and it taints everything it ever touched.

I love organics I grow bomb plants, but it is time to evolve with the times and competition. The organics in this line while I am sure is fine mixing fresh batches every single time and cleaning the buckets immediately afterward will make some stellar pot, I am going salt to avoid uncleanliness and all the issues dirt comes with in underground controlled environments. I cleaned up so much fucking dust and dirt this last go around which was my first in a basement underground type environment I just can't do that ever again. Amount of air filters I would need is just not at all cost effective just like the time it takes make your own soil rather than buy for 20 bucks a bag. You just can't compete as a small business growing organics anymore it seems even in illegal states.

This is the thinking that has caused me to choose jacks over megacrop even knowing megacrop probably has better results. I just don't want to risk organics in a sterile environment again.

I thought Megacrop was not organic.

I'm heading for automated watering so this is good to hear.:clap::clap:

It's more like semi organic. But ya I haven't had any issues in a drip system. There's a handful on the forum here that run it in blumats too.
Found this helpful:
If you want to make autopots compatible with blumats in the same system I found 3mm x 1/4" hose adapters @ sustainablevillage.com . I have 16mm hose off my autopot reservior and 1/4" tees that have 1/4" hose feeding the autovalves. They also have a 1/4" valve in between the tee and the autovalve. For the blumats I put a small piece of 1/4" hose after the 1/4" valve and then I put the 3mm adapter to connect to the blumat. Eventually I want to have 16 autopots and 12 blumats in my 8x8 tent. I have 10 more blumats, I just don't have 10 large enough females to add yet. Even with shipping, megacrop is cheaper than Remo so I will use it up and switch everything after that. I have especially noticed better growth already with my plants on 18/6.

Anyone have mold issues with MC being left in gallon jug? I have 1 plant that I water 1/2 gallon every other day, so I mix up the full gallon and let it sit for a day in the grow room to get to room temp, water the next morning then use the rest of the water 2 days later. This last time I noticed brown/black spots all around the inside of the jug. Now I just mix what I need for the watering and clean and dry the jug out.

Im loving using MC, plants appear to be growing great without any issues.
About a year ago I had mold or algae on a jug of concentrate, looked like a light green/blue felt. It was in the basement and I forgot to cap it. The sample was about gone, so I just bought a new bag.

Been having great results with megacrop.
Finally purchased a big bag to get a few full runs in with it.
I'll be posting up some flower pics soon.

Week 2 flower megacrop and the pk booster they offer, microbes, the odd shot of molasses, honey and calmag.

Right now im still 4g per gal mc an 1g per gal for the pk

No ec or ppm readings or ph'ing at all honestly

Holy shit I just burned the crap out of a few young plants using this mega crop sample pack I ordered. Actually killed one poor girl. The other two are recovering slowly but damn. I had to flush the soil like 15 times. This shit is very strong. Im a guano kind of guy and sometimes happy frog nutrients so this shit must be on steroids because I have never had an issue feeding with the other shit. Completely user error I assumed I could feed the soil directly. Who knew one teaspoon could be so strong sheesh. Ill try smaller dosages mixed in water. This stuff is concentrated!

This will help:
"Step 1 Enter amount of water for mixing nutrients (reservoir size):"
