Oh ok cool .. i was trippin on the fact that you allready where 2500 in..lol.. ok so cool then.. MIne is a 6 inch daystar ac by hydrofarm... but most people these days get those tube ones... I like how clean mine looks.. hehehe... good decision... anyway... the fans... you could do it many ways... it sounds to me like smell isnt really an issue here? are you hooking up a carbon filter or just have it open like mine?... Im legal so i dont care ya know

If your gonna have it open then you could use 4 inch muffen fans like i got them... or just get 1 suncourt 6 inch fan.. as far as the intake goes.. I went with big cause i noticed that the tent was sucking in...ya know?... so i put two 8 inch suncourt that has 500cfm rating...I wanted allot of fresh air being pushed in (figured the more the better...they love it)... the important part is exhausting all of that hot air and old air out of the tent.... so it really matters if your putting a carbon filter or not... if not then i would use as many exhaust as i could... the light exhaust... the room(tent) exhaust.. have you opened up your tent yet.. it has a shit load of openings for ducting.... but if you want to go for the least then i imaging 2 6 inchers... 1 pulling air out and another pulling air in..or pushing watever you want... it all depends on how long the runs are... if they are very long then you might need a blower... then your talking 120+ just for the fan... decisions decisons...

all im saying is that those suncourts worked for me... but i realize that they are not blowers.... in my situation.. short runs like that.. it works great!...

no i wouldnt be able to cut holes, my buddy says use the a/c vent, but idk, and i would be using a carbon filter just incase i have people over.

im sorta tight on money when it comes to the ballast
there was this combo that i could get on ebay with a ballast, timer, and a hood that could switch between hps and mh but no air cool.
i dont have enough room to seperate veg from flowering and have to switch bulbs in same area

in that case just do with what you got... if you cant get a sealed hood then your gonna need the fan sucking air from right under or right next to it.. your gonna need at least 1 or two fans blowing across the tops... have you bought anything yet? what is the budget like?

All i have to say about stealth is that there really isnt any... I mean if you cant hear the fans running then you are deaf... lol... maybe having the radio going all the time... lol... I dont know man...maybe you should do it somewhere else where you aint gonna have all those dates your gonna end up fucking over..lol... damn im high...lol

hell there are threads on here that show you how to build a cool tube.. if you dont mind ordering shit online then do that.... just put your intakes on the bottom of the closet and the outakes at the top...

you are growing in the closet right? that air vent is in the other side of the room?.. that wouldnt work.. i wouldnt have ducting on my ceiling and try to pass date inspections lol...

i ended up not gettin half the crap lol, i got 2 lumatek ballast 1X400 for theMH and 1X600w for the MHS got an Xtra sun 6"aircoolabe hood, 1 Vortex6" 450cfm can fan combo..thats all so gettin the 8 plant waterfarm system on the way at the local store. genfranco thanks for clearing up a bit but what if i had a carbon filter running in the DR150? would i only need one exhaust instead of two? and how big of an exhaust would it have to be..the canfan/filter combo i got was the 33..pushin 270cfm i believe. Also for intake you leave that little flap open for just air to flow through? and you have a intake fan just to blow straight to the floor?

hell dude if you got the vortex fan then your all good as far as the filter and exhaust... just attach the filter and hang it at the top of your tent (in the inside lol) your gonna close off the vent that is up there in the corner.. you arent gonna use it... the other little one there is for your wiring... anyway... youll hang the filter ..then either attach the fan right there..sucking air fromt he filter..pushing towards the light..... or attach tubing first then the fan then tubing then the hood... at the other end of the hood its gona exit just like mine is.

I leave the flap open for now ... im in 24hrs light right now.. i find that with the 3 fans that i have sucking air out the tent kinda sucks in...
therefore i bought two 8 inch 500 cfm fans like yo know... i have it open cause i like to look over and see the light really...lol... stoner me...

with that vortex fan your all set...good pick for exhausting air... you can have long runs attaching to a window with that thing... for short runs the other fan i recommended is perfect...

help your bro out with some money if your buying vortex fans and shit....lol...

i sorta understand, but what is that ducting and fan in the back in that picture with the red arrows sucking air out? and your cooling your light with air from your grow room? and the bottom left corner of your room with the blue arrows are they your intake fans?

lol yeah man... in that pic the setup is as follows..

the fan in the back hooked to ducting: its a muffin fan that i am using to exhaust the trapped hot air that sits ont he top HEAT RISEZ

light/hood. I have a mufin fan suckin air from the tent and blowing into the hood then there is the light then another fan sucking air (and recieving air from the other fan) from the inside of the hood and spitting it out of the tent... get it?

yeah the bottoms are intake ... the 8 inch 500 cfm are on the outside blowing air in...

im switching over to a 6" cool tube and running the duct just like you have, except im not going to have 2 intake and exhaust, im only going to have a 6" intake fan and 6" exhaust fan with my exhaust connected to the lamp and my intake just on the bottom bringing air in. I havnt boughten anything yet, im getting all my facts down first. my budget is medium i guess but that picture you just put up of your venting helped ALOT!

never mind your right heat rises haha i should use 2 exhaust and 2 intake

well cool man.. Like i said i dont worry about the smell cause im legal and my entire family is ok with it...plus im allready smoking a bunch of medicine in my garage where the ladies are ... so i dont care... diy carbon filters arent expensive to make... but if you dont care about the smell...I have to say that some strains smell more than others... stay away from skunk strains..lol....

Nice man, you could still get away with just one if you have that vortex.... like i tried to explain earlier... hell ill draw a pic... hehehe.. brb..

is it really necessary to have that many fans? what if i hooked up the can.combo separate so i just duct it so it exhausts my room like you have with one of the muffin fans . Then to cool the lights i would have the vortex hooked up to one intake hole sucking air from outside the Darkroom onto the light and then out the other side of hood and then out the tent? or would i need another fan at the end of the hood to help suck the air though and out?
