you dont need to bring in fresh air to cool the light... you are sucking the hot air out before it goes to your plants if you have the fan after the light ... or if you put in before the light blowing through it you kill two birds with one stone... you have an exhaust and air cooling at the same time.... see my other pic ..maybe it makes more sense...

your usin the fans that you have to wire into the duct huh? instead of having the fan within the duct hose in that pic for the exhaust could i have it on the outside suckin air out? im not getting a carbon filter

i see what your saying, but odor is a problem for me so i wouldnt be able to just have the air flow out of the tent, it would stink lol. I would have to hook it up to the Carbon filter but that would then put my vortex to waste since i have the Can combo

if not carbon filter but you have a vortez then i would just erase the carbon filter from the pic and attach the blower on the outside of the light... or maybe up on top where the carbon filter would be (they are kinda heavy)... IN my case i just wired up two muffin fans into the duct ...one pushing the hot air inside the tent through the light and another ont he other side of the hood sucking all air out and then duct going out of the tent. you want to blow the air through the light bulb yea know?

do you see both fans in there... on each end of the hood?

na man ..check out the pic... your air is getting filtered before it goes through the light and out the tent...

this pic is just for you man.. thefan is the vortex... see

so i could just use my 270CFM Can Fan to drag the air through the filter through the ducting and onto the light and out?...what use would my vortex be now?

ah so i should put the 6" vortex where you have the carbon filter labled cause they only blow out and dont suck in

i would use the vortex to do the air pulling and pushing through the light and filter deal... and use the 270 for intake air on the bottom..

well they blow out of one end and suck out of the other... has to suck the air and blow it the other way.... :bigjoint:

thanks alot mang, so my canfilter will still work just as well with the vortex even tho its more powerful..and besides the fact the vortexfan will be half way between the filter and lights i guess..and thats all i need to shift the air out and cool my lights at the same time?
