growing in rental house

In my state the landlord is required to give at least 24 or 48 hours notice before inspections/etc. if its a small grow that's plenty of time to relocate the grow to a u-haul for a day. Done it before went over perfectly.

Look, we are here to help and to share good information. A landlord can access your rental anytime, for any reason. I've leased houses for over 25 years. I know what I'm talking about. This was from one of the leases I had...

Ive never seen that on a lease in my state. 24 hour notice mandatory. Wa and Ca have some of the most leaser friendly laws around. It's so hard to evict tenants in these states.

You shouldn't even be posting that information on a site like this for strangers and people who don't even have to be registered members to see. Information such as you're going to nursing school and the person you're renting from is a nurse, etc... what if someone they know gets on this site and puts 2+2 together and alerts the cops? Maybe LEOs visit this site and they know your nurse friend? Or if you get caught and the cops go through your computer? Not very likely, but you are leaving too much personal information imho. That's just me though I get paranoid when freedom is at jeopardy. Be more secretive. Just my $0.02

Not everyone on this site can afford a house or is medically licensed. We're all taking risk, and I'm sure those with medical licences were smoking long before they got it. OP, I say weigh the risk of whether not you may be caught and how the person who'll catch you may react and then proceed accordingly. If the landlord is an uppity noisy religious freak who doesn't drink or smoke, then me personally, I wouldn't grow there... I held out, talked to, and got a feel for my landlord and the area before I started to grow...

I have had no inspections in the 3 years since i saw the lady when i first moved in . i think that may be because she never replaced the bathroom window's witch would have cost her a couple of thousand haha so im lucky that my bathroom windows are shitty otherwise she'd be round snooping at everything making sure im not breaking stuff lol . and as someone stated their required to give AT LEAST minimum of 24 hours notice before coming round so that's plenty of time to pack everything away .. as for big operations 100 plus plants then it would not be a good idea at all ..
and your case risking a careerer over a bit of pot is not worth it . if you are going to do it make sure you know when they will be inspecting so you no to hide everything lol

Dont listen to these people who say dont grow in a rental, what are you meant to do wait untill you are 30 and pull a mortgage out on a house? dont think so, all these people are up on their high horses, plenty of people grow in rental houses just make sure you can pack it up when inspections come, even try and get dates beforehand tell them you like to be organized ocd or somthing?

doniboy explained it better than me ^ few posts up

yeah. Most people would grow in rentals or leases, just buy a tent i say. Its not like they're gonna unzip your tent. I reckon just turn everything off

I got lucky, my cab was there when I moved in. A nice size cab previous renters used as a closet cuz of limited closet space. I have a lock on it and my bedroom door which its in just incase some emergency arises while im out of town. Cant think of anything that would have them needing to access my bedroom.

I have thought about getting a tent instead for more space but feel safer using something that will be looked at as part of thefurniture.. maybe they cant unzip your tent but it may draw suspicion....u got vent hole and flaps showing. So to be safe I would break the whole thing down and then have to putit back up....too much work....not to mention hide the plants !

Ive had probably the best landlord experiences you could have in two separate rentals and ultimately they both got shut down....1 day..1month...1 year they will find out. and that nice little side income that you have been expecting/relying on will go bye bye for a good 3 months while you start over. The lack of stability from the whole thing is why i'll never do it again...let alone the possible legal consequences.

There's a big difference in growing a plant or two for personal consumption and having a commercial grow room. I think the most important thing is to keep your mouth shut and DON'T TELL ANYBODY. If you can do that and the landlord isn't breathing down your throat because he thinks you're effing his house up, you'll be OK with a nice plant or two. If you got 20 plants and wires hanging everywhere and dicked his carpet up then yea, it's not going to work out for you.

Years ago I was hanging around the city jail waiting for one of my runners to bail out. I overheard a couple of detectives talking about using search warrants to bust (us) dealers. At the time I was using a local Marriott when I needed a neutral environment to conduct business. Maybe once a month I'd pay for 3 days use of a suite and leave enough product to keep the crew bouncing off the walls. Then I heard the cops say they loved busting big deals in hotels and motels because it was so easy to get warrants. The hotel owner always gives up a tenant to the locals, so I had to change the way I did business. I would never put myself in a position when my security depends on the good will of another. Find another spot, eh? BigSteve.

Okay guys, here's the deal. I'm moving this summer once I get accepted into nursing school. I already found a house I like, 2 bedroom, detached garage, and an unfinished basement. $500 a month. I want to grow in a tent in the house. But I have to make it super, ultra, mega stealth. The landlord is a nurse, and her niece is actually an instructor in the nursing program. I plan on keeping the house clean, indoors and out, all bills paid, and rent paid a few days early. Any tips for keeping it hidden? I don't want to do any construction as it's not my house.
Thats a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full. I grow in my garage and the whole neighborhood smells like pot during harvest. You can't control the smell. Maybe the noise to a extent but NEVER the smell.

I am going to have to say if you grow in a cab of armoir or dresser or whatever technically your growing in your box, not the rental.

That being said even in Cali rental agreements "must comply with all federal laws" so unless you are real tight with the landlord I would have to say no bueno.
