Growing Shrooms

in my area there isnt to many shrooms around so i figure i can grow some and make some profit...but i have a couple questions first, is there any other way i can sterilize my vermiculite an brf without a pressure cooker?...i have no way to get one....and were can you keep them while they colonize in the sealed jars?

You might be able to get away with either boiling xtra long, or possibly microwaving (depending on what kind of container your using)

Why can't you get a pressure cooker? Just curious...

You can colonize at decent room temp, but it will take longer. Ideally you want about 84-86 degrees. I've heard on top of the refrigerator is a good spot. Keep 'em in the dark.

If you haven't already - check out shroomery.org. Like this site is for pot, it is for shrooms.

I started my first grow a 10 days ago, got a bunch of jars about half colonized! :mrgreen: I used a pressure cooker - no contamination so far.

im growing some shrooms heres a pic of about last thursday, i picked them on sunday evening, theres another flush coming though, this is the PF Tek method i lost 4 jars to contamination and i only have two cakes left and one has a bit of blue to it so its in a separtate fruiting chamer by its self to see if there is really contamination or its just my eyes or something

dude,..dont funk with this stuff,....you may as well be pushing LSD. im all about marijuana, for medical,religious and any other self spiritualistic stuff,..but my argument for pot always revolves around "health" as it is compared to all those "other" drugs,.im just not cool with all that other crap anymore,..including cigarettes and liquor. when i was in high school,..i did sell sugar cubes,..but man,..its pot or die bro.

thats what i did. it works great. i just started to get mycliem in my 1st bag and its been two weeks. all you do is shake the bag and put it somewhere 75+ degrees until its all white then u drop it in the compost bag. or in my case i have a huge tot im gonna fill with compost. this method takes no pressure cooker. they send you everything you need. but it is costly cost me 125bucks. i got an xtra book tho. and i got it within a week!

ur right if u take too many shrooms it will fuck you up in the head they are a neat thing to grow though

actually shrooms physically are completely harmless to you, taking to many cause extreme paranoiya and a upset stomach, you might hurt yourself from hallucinations or confusion, but thats why a safe enviroment is a must.

Shrooms are cool on my book. Wouldnt waste my money, luckily a close friend grows them and lets me eat them to help him pick all the bastards!

thats next on my list along with a 12 dwc 5 gal set up under 1000 watter just wraped up my cfl grow i mean it was koo and all but fuck man i need a hps to full max out bud but yea gonna order the spores....not alot of people here in kali got shrooms mostly e pill and bud and some meth at the raves

The blue your seeing is the natural reaction of damaged or bruised mycelium. I would recommend soaking the cakes after each flush. Just soak them fully submerged in water for 24 to 48 hours in the fridge. The water absorbs into the cake, and gives you much bigger fruits. It may look damaged when you take it out of the water, but mushroom can be fully submerged in water for up to 48 hours without suffocating. As soon as you put the cakes back into the terranium, they will start to fluff right back up and give you enormous fruits

Interesting. I was planning on ordering that $115 kit, anyone know an average they get off that? Also so with that kit can I continue to grow with it somehow then>?

to each there own....shrooms are about as historically spiritual as you can get....across the globe, and across cultures. I certainly do not advocate "dealing" but if one wishes to gro and provide for themselves and their individual spiritual journey, then walk forward my man......enjoy what the earth offers to us. :blsmoke:

don't be rediculous dude there is nothing wrong with taking or growing shrooms... you need to chill.

if you want to grow shrooms there is a few things that are strongly suggested

Pressure cooker...there is no comparable substitute

glove box...easy and cheep to make and for proper sterile technique(pluss you feel like a scientist when you use it)

everything els is easy and cheep as well... you need to go hear...
