Is this possible? I was talking to a friend of a friend that was baked about growing. He said to grow via candlelight. Is it possible? I can't even begin to imagine how many candles you would need? How close do you place the candles without the flame burning the plant?
What a preposterous idea ^^

however you can obtain a small yield increase by using hi-res images of the sun
print out the image below as many times as you need to cover your space
use your printers highest DPI resolution setting, high quality glossy photo paper helps too
remember to get the image as close as you can to your plants without shading them

The reason the Guy Fawks plot failed was because his gang were baked off their tits on weed they had grown by bonfire light.

(and if someone asks me if I'm being serious I maybe suffer the opposite of a stroke - whatever that is! LOL)

@skunkd0c, That actually hurts my eyes, or at leasts plays tricks on my mind making me think it hurts my eyes.
Yup it's doing it's job, if you measure it with a lumen meter you will see why it is hurting your eyes
and remember because it is a picture of the sun it is full spectrum too

So I got in touch with my friend and asked him to ask the guy. The guy said to get thoes huge citronella candles and add a bunch of additional zippo lighter wicks to the wax. I'm really skeptical about this. The amount of flames is a hazard and how would it smell once they started to bloom? I can't picture in my mind what a mix of weed/citronella would smell like. He also said the citronella keeps the bad parasitic bugs away from the grow. Thoughts?

Hypothetically....due the math,

A common candle emits light with roughly 1 cd luminous intensity. A fire alarm strobe light emits about 75 candela, depending on the settings. A 25 W compact fluorescent light bulb puts out around 1700 lumens; if that light is radiated equally in all directions, it will have an intensity of around 135 cd. Focused into a 20° beam, it will have an intensity of around 18 000 cd.

If you stare at the very middle it appears the sun is getting bigger

If anyone is up to this, its buddhist monks. They're burning candles all day long, might as well get some additional use out of them.
