Maybe next time somebody has a problem instead of buying some miracle cure in a bottle, they might want to buy a good book and do some learning. Knowledge will carry you a long way in this game and will way outlast last any bottle miracle that don’t exist

Amen. like "Never feed a sick plant" Find out the problem first. Plants get yellow leaves. It's not always the end of the world or even a problem sometimes. Learn about gardening.

Hey guys, hoping someone can help me out. I’ve got a couple of plants with a few problems and can’t narrow it down to any deficiencies unless it’s a lot.
I started with cheap nutes and one had good soil one had bad soil. They are both outdoor.
I didn’t have any issues until a few weeks ago and now I’m having nothing but problems. A few weeks ago when I noticed the problems I noticed ph was way off with the cheap nutes. Ive now flushed and done everything I can to adjust ph in nutes, soil and run off but the problems continue to happen. The one in bad soil has been transplanted into better soil, took it pretty well and now soil is around 6.8 but run off on that one is still just under 6 even after 3 days of flushing and 30 odd litres later.
I also have a big bitch that all of a sudden one morning woke up and noticed a lot of top leaves had clawed. I didn’t think too much straight away but when i went outside to check it I could see purple burn spots and blotches one top leave’s only they ones that were clawing.
I noticed ph in soil was at 5.5 so i flushed it and brought it to 6.2. That afternoon around 3pm i went out to have a look and it had engulfed a lot of the top. Paranoid af because it’s just gone into flower after almost 3 month veg so i cut it all of thinking it could be a fungus.
I have no clue what is going on and really need some professional help before i loose a pounder!
I’ve attached some pictures, it has slowed but these symptoms all of a sudden one day took off very fast. I’ve grown a lot of healthy plants and never had these issues

Not a pro but It looks like a phosphorus def to me. Why are you flushing to adjust soil ph? Flushing rinses nutrients out of media. did you feed again after you flushed? Are you using bottled or dry
A little lime raises soil ph.. how did you test your soil ph?

I thought that too but it must be more than just that. I flushed the big one with the purple because that came up and the soil was at 5.5 so I flushed to bring the soil up but the run off was still 6.2 when soil was at 5.5 after bringing the ph up it has slowed it right down.
The small one i flushed because run off was very low at 4.2 I flushed that for days to bring it to 5.8 and could not get it any higher with more flushing.
Now everything is on point, good quality nutes(liquid for soil A&B) the cheap stuff was basic liquid hydroponics nutes from the hardware store but i have used successfully in the past.
Ph in liquid is 6.5, ph in soil is now about the same in both, run off fine in the big one but the little one run off is still around 5.5 and I can’t bring it up. I’ve tried lime with no luck.
They are still slowly showing signs of deficiencies. The only improvement I’ve seen is from flushing but it’s not fixing it because it still seems to not be taking up the nutrients.
Also it could be root bound as I didn’t want it getting any bigger, could this be a problem if pot is full of roots through the flowering stage?

Root problems are always a possibility. Flushing leaches nutes out so I wouldn’t be surprised if it show’s deficiencies. Have you attempted to slide the pot down and inspect the roots

It was having the problems before i was flushing it the flushing has slowed it down as it was starting to spread on both very fast.
I haven’t yet but there are roots all through top soil, I can’t even dig into it unless it’s wet.
I’m thinking of putting it in a bigger pot now that it’s starting budding up. It’s just a pain because of the size.
This was her just before i started to have problems a week ago, she was so beautiful :(

Ya its bigger than it looks in first pics. Id wait for more replies but imo it looks like it needs Phosphorus

ok mate cheers. Does a plant like this need more nutrients then a smaller one?
I started off with feeding only once a week and that was fine all through veg with just some older leaves yellowing off. About a month ago I changed it to water water feed so it was being feed three times a week as it takes 5l in the morning and 5 in the evening because she’s dry by then on a hot day but once buds have started showing now it’s having problems. Surely three feeds a weeks is enough?

Too much imo. If you feed in am and its dry in afternoon evening id just use water . A bigger plant will eat more naturally but i don’t feed my outdoor plants until they show the first signs of needing it not just because of a schedule. I use big pots with 30 being the smallest so with smaller it may need more but honestly I’ve never fed any plant indoors or out 3 times a week

Then how could it have a deficiency if the ph is right? It also looks like it’s got nutrient burn with burnt tips on older leaves so I dunno seems like there’s heaps of problems but it’s just a bit weird it’s happened all of a sudden after 2 and a half months of no issues

Toxicity of some nutrients can cause deficiency of others.

Are you getting run off when you feed? That plant is root bound I would lower the amount of feed an feed every watering with lots of runoff.

Soil compaction is possible
Your probably right with this one. The last monster i had was in a massive pot so i have never had this problem before.
Its hard to keep the big ones down, i live in Australia so its still very illegal and cant just let it go for gold unfortunately
