HASH.."Bubble"..using 'Sprung' 5-bag system

Well I recently ordered some bags to make bubble hash with from the company Sprung. They have a 5-bag system with a 220, 160, 110, 73, 25 micron size for $89 US. I started with a 5gal bucket from Lowe's and lined it with the bags starting with the 25 micron bag, all the way up to the 220 micron work bag.

Once the bags were placed in the bucket, I added cold water and the first layer of ice, and let it sit for about 20 mins to get cold. Then I put the first layer of clippings(65.5g), another layer of ice, and the last layer of clippings(55g), and finally the last layer of ice, and topped it all off with cold water again. Let it sit for about 45 mins or so, and then went back to begin the stir.

After it was chilled I began stirring it with a slotted metal spoon and an egg-beater on low. I did this for about 15 mins, then added some more ice and let it sit for about 30-45 mins. Finally, I went back and pulled the bags out one by one, and starting with the 110, on to the 73, and ending with the 25 micron bags I scooped out each with a spoon and placed it on the pressing screen which I had set inside a towel.

I repeated this process two more times on this same batch of clippings and received roughly the same amount you see in last pic above..

I had several large jars of clippings with a total weight of 593g and ended up with about 56g of hash..and I am enjoying every minute of it :bigjoint:

Bump..hopefully anyone who is thinking about making some HASH gives these bags a go..they are awesome for the price...:peace:

Dude..you're welcome..I got 'em in like 4 days I think...it was really fast, and it comes in discreet packaging too..hope you get some good bubble hash like I did.

Plus you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for 'em like the bubblebags..Enjoy!!

:bigjoint:

I got a set of these about a month ago. Made some pretty killer bubble I'm still smoking on.

I had 5 different strains of trimmings though, so it kind of made for a weird result. Next harvest I'll be keeping each strain separate so I can really get the flavor of each.

I've never used any other bags, but these are easy to work with and are probably just as good as bubble bags. They're nice heavy duty material...will last for a long time if cared for properly.

I wish they came with some sort of storage bag though...

Do they really make good quality BUBBLE HASH? or just good quality HASH? Theres a fine line.

I would say it's good quality Bubble Hash..but I mean I don't think that you can go wrong for $89 US...even if it's only good quality Hash...However I am a firm believer in the old saying "you get out what you put in", so I'm sure the quality you receive will depend on the quality of the trimmings or bud that you put into it..bongsmilie

I agree 100% completely jerry...

Oh...I did the same thing with not separating, but I'll be keeping 'em separate this time around..

I would love to try this, though just not in my budget right now. anyone have an idea for making some decent quality hash (will have between 2-6 ounces of fair quality shake). Ordering off the internet is not and option either for me right now.

don't suppose there would be a bubble bag alternative out there at a store like wal mart? :)
or at least an easier method using cheaper equiptment?
thanks!

its made for extracting pollen there is nothing illegal about ordering bags and has nothing to do with weed technically. There is no red flag because you order on the internet or call and order. QISO is cheap look into iso hash

This has got me excited. I ordered my bags off ebay and they were shipped Sat. With shipping included I paid $54.90 USD. They are a different brand, but I am sure they will work. Black Water brand bags with mesh sizes: 220u, 160u, 73u 25u and 10 u. Also included, is a free 25u pressing screen + A Free Carry Bag ! I was wondering something. I have an old ISO-2 oil processor that I have been using for 30n years. The problem with it is that the oil is a very dark green because of all the plant material that I couldnt filter out UNTIL NOW. I was thinking of using the 10 micron bag to filter the oil. The only thing I would worry about is if the alcohol that is used to run the process would screw up the bag. I have about 4 pounds of dry trimmings in the freezer ready to go.

I should have mentioned, I am thinking of running the 4 pounds through the hash process first. Then dry the leftover trimmings and run them through the ISO-2 to get the oil.

Wait. You started by pushing the material through the 25 micron bag then up?

Is it just my thinking or is that backwards?

You want to work your way down to smaller and smaller particles, yes? And by doing that getting down to those resinous glands, which are around 25 microns?

Haha No man , h is saying that the 25m bag was the first to go in the bucket then the rest of the bags on top in order with that being last
