I didn't mean the stereotypical comment as a bad thing. My reference to a stereotypical 16 year-old was the fact that kids are nosey and if he suspected that you were growing, he has probably already check it out for himself. (your plant that is :) )

My Dad was growing some plants at his work when I was a kid.
We used to go with him to this place and play while he "had work to do".
Through the years my brother (police officer) and I had discussed those trips to the landfill.
We put it all together when we found evidence in the house. Hidden mind you. Just not well enough.
He never found out the we found out but he never trusted us after that summer.
One day everything was gone...Sold it, maybe.
I keep my shit under 2 lock and keys, Lets just hope it's good enough.

Mobile home you say? Most of them have crawl spaces under the home that are generally used for access to plumbing. Just top the plants to be short and do em under the house.

The light would be seen from the outside. that's not an option. Anyway, I built a grow box, and I like it but it is far too hot in there. My closet is hot so I am finally going to do this the best way. I am headed to Lowes in the morning and I will get a duct fan, dryer vent with cover and install then in the closet. I can put the intake over by the air conditioner and ti will be out of sight pretty much. Thgen I will put locks on my closet doors. I should be able to keep it cool in there and shut my doors. That will be heaven. I should have done that to start with. I wasted 50 bucks or more on the stuff to make the box.

My mate's parents used to smoke. He started off smoking by taking their green off them. I know it doesn't happen to everyone but if you see your old man smoke it makes it a little more acceptable. I personally found that a genuinley touching story that you would kill your hobby and pastime for your kids.

i asked my son if he had any desire to try pot yet. he is 12 years old.

he said "NO, i've seen the effects and it's not for me".

i don't know what to say to that. i told him it was a good decision.

you have to understand what happens with you reflects on your child,not all parents understand,but i personally did not want to mess with his friendships or what people said about him,he would not think it was cool for his dad to be busted,he would of been ashamed,and as a parent whether i like it are not my first responcability is to the child,he has no options.heck he may even want to join the rcmp,and i would be proud of that.But at the same time i have to struggle with disability,and make ends meet.but that is just one single parents persective,every one has there own.

Ok, I just turned 25..if my dad at the age of 12 asked me about it, I would tell someone. I would think my dads a pothead. I know he is your child..but dont smoke before you ask the questions..how horrible to ask a 12 year old that..talk about the birds and the bees not about smoking trees!!

Just an opinion :spew:

really? so i shouldn't ask him if he's been approached? school started 2 weeks ago. he's in 7th grade. maybe those weren't my exact words. so when should i talk to my son about pot? when did everyone here start smoking? at what age were you exposed to it away from home? people keep telling me to hide it. let him learn elsewhere. whatever. once again, i am nothing but honest with my child. why is that so bad? i wasn't asking him to smoke out with me. i know at 7th grade i was exposed to it.


it's like booze. how do you explain that?

or are we all stuck on the whole criminal aspect?

guilty? ashamed? you shouldn't be using then.

They teach kids in 7th grade about drugs and sex...so...I can see asking if he has been approached. Talking about drinking umm..thats LEGAL. So, realize that Im younger than you so im growing up a few decades before you...Im putting it as my views..he probably knows you do it and thats horrible as well. Some parents need to have there kids taken away...these damn rednecks.. cant teach them nothing...they know it all and if you say something they get deffsive and have something stupid to say back...so make sure you ask him about crack,herion,lsd,shrooms,xtc,freeze,special k, coke, and had him a condom and tell him well you like girls go start fucking. these iiiiidiots

your not 25 kid,get off the site untill your old enough to have an educated opinion.i would like to drop you off on the trap line with the nearest red kneck 60 miles away,you would be scrambling to find him,to show you how to survive outside the play ground in suburbia.
