Does anyone have a link to a complete rule book for michigan medical marijuana? Just have a bunch of questions and need a few answers. Thanks in advance.

I didn't see anywhere what happens if they come for an inspection and your not home? Of ccourse the room will be locked with no way in till I get there. I ask because I work Monday - saturday 7-6 and it's an hour ride each way. So I'm gone from 6 am till 7 pm, 6 days a week. Do they schedule a check or how's this work? I just want to be as legal as possible. Thanks.

Dude? Really?? Our law us entrapment..there is no legal way to grow if someone in power wants to fuck you..
There is no provision for inspection.. Some zoning ordinances have it, not the state.

Sorry I'm new to being "legal" and just want to learn as much about it as possible. you think they would clarify all this but as I'm learning, there are MANY gray areas. Thanks for the advice.

call one of the mmj lawyers near you (or one from detroit area) and ask them your questions. most lawyers will answer q for free on phone. cant hurt to call!

or you can ask your q here and see if you get good replies. theres another mmma forum too.

about inspections? well, dont register as a grower, never tell anyone you grow, and finally, never talk to police. dont open the door (unless they have a warrant) and do not open the window to talk to them.

if they walk up to you and start asking questions, tell them they can ask your lawyer any questions, but you will use your right to remain silent.

its something like 80 to 90% of people self-incriminate themselves by talking to police.

remember anything you say can and WILL be used against you in court. loose lips sink ships.

Well the whole "old school method" is exactly like you said, old school. I know a few cops because my profession entails me to deal with police officers fairly often. From what they are telling me (they have no clue I have my card) but the state police chopper has Flir heat sensing technology that our military used just a few years ago (so it's good). They can see 2 individuals standing in a basement from hundreds of yards above a house. It picks up grow lights extremely easy! Now I'm assuming that's not enough for a warrant. But I feel better knowing if they suspect me because of this method, atleast I'm as legal as possible. All it would take is a nosey or angry neighbor to get a whiff of some stank and turn someone in then the chopper do a fly over to verify. In the end I'm just a paranoid person. But at least I'm trying to play their game and be as legal as they allow or want us to be.

I don't care how good their FLIR is, one thing they can't see are grow lights during the day. If a fly over and heat is a concern, then run flowering lights in daylight hours. Use less heat light options: led. Move out of the path of helicopters... I see one a year out here in farmland.

A good filter and exhaust is worth its weight in gold.

Re: never speaking to the cops... agree 100%. If they don't have a warrant, don't even think about opening the door or window. Even if they see you, I don't care how uncomfortable it is. Give those shit eaters NOTHING to work with. Even with a warrant, say NOTHING... give your attorney something to work with. I'd recommend a series on youtube - Never Get Busted... its by an ex cop turned stoner. There is useful information in it and if I remember right they have some FLIR stuff in there too.

Good luck to you.. take good care of the odor so you aren't a nuisance to your neighbors and you should be fine.

That may be but if you are growing in a basement you're fine. now if you're growing on the main floor and your house is unusually warm or growing on a second floor you might get picked out. But, flir is not enough to get a warrant or even begin an investigation with. They can only use that to help substantiate a mounting case

They can see Tally Banners hiding in caves deep underground in iraq, what makes you think they can't see glowing hot lights through wood and shingles. He may be pulling my leg but like I said they don't know I have my card so why would he lie.
