Help! Plants not looking good...

Hey! I've just planted this Dinafem White widow outside and the first two days it experienced a mild frost, and now a week later it appears some of the fan leafs have died, and the root has gotten brown... Please tell me if this plant is going to be okay or not? Should I chop off the dead leaves?

It is very hard to say if it will make it. How big was it before you transplanted? Have you seen any additional growth at all? And yes you should cut off the dead leaves so the plant can put more energy to the ones that may still be alive.

Thanks for the reply! It was about a foot tall, and I have seen very little growth from the time its been outside, but all the other leaves are still very green... Il provide a pic soon...

she may just be shocked. nothing has turned brown and crispy?

I am going to guess overwater...with cold comes a lessening at the rate at which water evaporates...so the plant sounds like it is too wet...

Thats what i was leaning more towards, it has been raining alot this past week! Please check the pic i just put up, do you think it has a chance?

i hate to say it but she isnt looking to good, dont get too worried though these plants are troopers and they adapt very well. It does look over watered, i would suggest transplanting it with some added perlite and some gravel at the bottom for drainage, and if she comes back give her a couple more weeks, then re plant her outside.

hey bro it should be fine it doesnt look bad just leave it alone and let it do its thing.
Once a plant goes from indoors to outdoors they get stressed...
Just try not to water it too much wait until the ground is dry

I'm experiencing the same thing, except my plants are bushy and and 18" tall. I F'ed up and messed with the roots when planting, then it turned cold and rained for a day. Since then it's been warm and dry. They've been in the ground nearly two weeks and there is new healthy growth. There are Some crispy leaves and some with weird white coloring ( not powdery mildew for sure). Would you advise snipping the ugly looking and crispy leaves? Or just leave them alone till they rebound a little more?
