The secret ingredient for potency is Sulfur :bigjoint:
Sulfur feeds the trics add some UV and you get fire
RM3 you've sparked my interest. Please share more on sulfur and how I get this in my rez or are you suggesting LED over HPS? Thanks in advance.

Check out Sativied's grows. He was running 380 ppms and dropped down to 350 ppm because it was too much. More ppms doesn't equal more bud/potency.

* ppms don't make resinated weed non-potent. Genetics or harvesting early will though.
Thanks! I generally chop between 67-72 days at 1st signs of amber trichs. Maybe I should go another 7-10???

These are pics of next round at 47 days flower to give an idea of foxtailing. I add calmag after I've ppm'd base nutes. also koolbloom liquid in weeks 4-7. They can't get enough magnesium. The widow hits much better than the blackberry but still neither one is FIRE!!! Maybe 67-72 days is too early to chop but the amber trichs have always been there.

This is next round day 47. CalMag issues have been addressed. Thanks everyone again for you insights.

67-72 is probably cool. I've had limited experience with clones from Harborside and they are always either low yielding dank or nice yielding good tasting low potency bud. Never all around great, always missing something.

Maybe try scoring some nice feminized beans. Delicious seeds have some nice strains critical jack and critical sensi star were both fire and they sale single seeds.

I am a soil less guy so I have no idea how you would do it in hydro. But I can tell you that every nute I use has sulfur in it

I've never seen a plant struggle with 380 ppm ever. are you sure your not confused with the ec to ppm conversion? us to european measure? most peoples tap water has around 150-200 ppm already. so if he did run that low id say that he would have to be starting with ro water. its irrelevant, sativieds a guy that knows a lot about growing in general, seems to know whats what as far as nutrients go but id bet that he isn't using the same food that the op. as far as micro and macro nutrients go, and timing them for when the plants need them. also, thats one guys experience. the rest of the rui rdwc and dwc growers will gladly tell you that under 400 ppm in full bloom is a recipe for disaster. go ahead and start a thread if you want. you'll see. i run 400 ppm two weeks outta the gate and I've never burned anything at that pace.

I've read plenty, and yes he states right in the first post 350-500ppm throughout flower and later in the thread he states he went from 380 down to 350 at like week two or three of flower.

It all depends on the plant and environment, so not everyone will get Sativied results for sure.

Just what I said, sulfur feeds the trics/resin just like it makes citrus sweeter and peppers hotter. Sulfur is the soul of plants

i'm FF nutes DTW 1000HPS..i'd love to give a try (nothing in FF).

I use chem nutes,,,
Jack's Citrus FeED 20-10-20 4.9% sulfur
Jack's Aquagold 7-15-30 9% sulfur
Gypsum (Calcium Sulfate) 18% sulfur
Epsom (Magnesium Sulfate) 13% sulfur
Potassium Sulfate 0-0-50 18% sulfur

I make sure my girls have plenty :bigjoint:

ya, i read the numbers the first time you posted them. if indeed you've read plenty, please provide a link. id love to see where this is happening besides sativieds journal. if this has become common place its news to me.

its funny, i just took my truncheon in to get checked out because i was feeding factory labeled full doses and it was reading 600 ppm. turns out the thing was way out of whack so off it went back to the factory. i like to make posts from personal experience. if i was feeding at 350 id go tell people that it was ok. id get my probes calibrated first before i went against everything that everyone else says but thats what id do. trust me, theres plenty of people who have faulty equipment or just really want people to believe the their side of the argument on here. do your own tests before passing along knowledge that you've read about. I've seen a broke kid that didnt have money for nutrients so he fed less, and his product turned out shitty, small, and finished early and then fox tailed really badly. no fan leaves left whatsoever, they all yellowed out and died. i was running the same plants with ppms hitting 9-12 and they didn't lose a fan leaf the whole time. green and healthy with killer smoke. a little fluffy to be honest but thats the worst thing i could say about my results with higher ppms. what is it, like 20-35 bucks a plant in nutrients in dwc? a bag of dirt costs 12 and then the nutes on top of that may be another 10. why would you skimp on the food to save like ten bucks?

Read the thread I linked above.

But since you're not going to:

He explains and tells you where you can find more info. Plenty of sources recommend to use the lowest amount of fertilizer as necessary. It's called a point of diminishing returns. Like I said not all plants will be happy at 350ppm, his are! And they're fat frosted nuggets. Plants will only use so much fertilizer at any given time, just because you have 1200+ppm doesn't mean your plants are using that efficiently.
