Help! Theres light green worms eating my plant!

Yeah, that is exactly what it is. the catepillars don't lay eggs . The butterflies or moths lay them on the leaves and then they hatch when it is time and then they live off what they are hatched on and they are black when born or maybe a little brown and then they turn green as they eat the green leaves and bud materials. So kill those Bastards!!!! I was told to use these moth nets if you grow outside they sell them at the Home Depot , Lowes or any good size nursery. And you leave them out all night and day they are these very small mesh like nets that go over the plants and support them so they hang above the plant and not hang on the plant!!!! I was also told to maybe put some lady bugs and someone told me there are a wasp that kills these catepillars especially. I forget what they were called but you can search for them by putting wasp that hunts and kills catepillars in your garden or something like that and then search it!!! Good luck I am lucky my mother plant was already big enough and the buds were very big by the time I put her in the ground and then when the clones got to about a foot then I put them outside in the ground to grow as fast as possible and they are the only plants that are being affected. I found a catepillar in almost every cola and they are usually on the top of the cola. So if you start to see the white hairs turn red prematurly and there is like an area about a 1/4 inch round that is dead then you open that up and look around and you will probably fiond a catepillar. Some are very small after the just hatch so you will probably need at least a 30X100 magnifying glass to see some of them. yep, those are the little or those are pretty big ones, I have seen them about the longest was about an inch maybe and inch and an 1/8 and as small as 1/8 of an inch long and as thin as a small pin or needle. and if they are mixed in with the white hairs or red hairs they are pretty well camo-ed. they blend in very well, they almost can look like a new leaf inside the buds. So look carefully!!!!!!!! GOOD lUCK

i GUESS WHAT I AM MOST NERVOUS ABOUT IS IF YOU DO DRY THE BUDS OUT AND CLEAN THEM OUT AS BEST AS POSSIBLE THE CATEPILLARS OR EGGS FROM THE BUTTERFLY CAN'T HURT YOU IF YOU SMOKE THEM BY ACCIDENT? OR CAN THEY? I am saying if you clean out the shit and the dead areas and use that BT stuff to kill all the rest or clear them out then you will be okay if they only touch a small part of a bud you can still use them if you clean them? but if you smoke a dead one are the harmful to humans or your lungs? please advise , thank you, BB2112!!!!

Are those mites or shit mites as you called them. Do they use silk to cover themselves up untill they are hatched ? and is it a white area with a silk like sack around it? and after the white stuff comes off of them are they like a brownish orange? with a ribbed back and very small? I found a mite i think but only one so far and i have looked all over the place in the crevases of the buds were the leaves meet the stems and in corner's like that and haven't found any more but where do thay come from if that is what they are? what puts them on the plant? if you could help me out a little more I would be very Thankfull, please advise. only use the BT before harvesting. i wouldn't use this on anything that's been harvested already...one things in for sure though when the bud is drying any larvae or small worms will not survive. they may try to crawl out. someone in the forum told me that they need moisture to live and i can say that this was correct. Although i inspected my buds the best i could when i first put mine up to dry, two days later i found about 5 more on top of buds..they must have crawled out and were very immobile...they seemed like they were close to dieing.

anway, before i jar them for curing, i'll break down all my colas to check one last time...this will be in about 2 or 3 days. I'm sure that if there is anything else it will be dead becuase there won't be enough moisture of them survive; nothing is as fresh as when the plant was living.

As far as being safe to smoke...i would say not at all...that's why you have to totally thorough and get as much out as you can..remove any dead insect and any dead/brown looking bud from where the worm was. use a magnifing glass if you have to...i take my time and spend about 2 -3 min on each cola when inspecting.

Yes it does, thank you, very much I still haven't harvested most of the plant I was waiting to see if you put the BT on before or after. So that answered my quetion and after I use the BT I should wait about 7 or 8 days before I harvest for the stuff to break down? and go away? That is my only and las question. I did the same thing !!!!! with the little bastards, put them right in the middle of the ant hole, the ants slowly carrying them off to bite them to death, it was satisfying!!!! AH HA HA HA HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! YES IT WAS!!!! BB2112!!!!

Wow! NOW THAT iS PRETTY HARSH but i guess the main thing is, is that they die, either quickly or slowly just die MF! Those bastards got into one of my clones that i planted about 2 months after I planted my main plant and my main plant didn't get touched which was very nice but the other 5 plants (clones off the first plant) all got the catepillars!!! and ruined about 1/4 of each plant's production so I think it is a matter of when you plant them in the ground I think the buds on the big plant were already too sticky too let them crawl into the buds so they stayed away from it but the other's seem to plant them on the leaves and then they hatched and the buds grew over them and then they just start eating the shit out of the buds. I Hate moths and butterflies now!!!!!! BB2112 had to get that off my chest.!!!!!!

yeah i would say you are safe to use BT one week before harvest as it may take 1 week for it to break down and become ineffective.

Now I have 4 clones that i plnted outside after they were big enough and now I saw when i was inspecting the now forming buds on those and saw a few little white balls with holes on the top of the balls are those the moth or butterfly eggs that are hatching after they get consumed by the buds and eat there way out? or does anyone know what these white little balls are that are about the size of a pin head and i saw them as i was inspecting the buds and they were on the small leaves that eventually get covered by the buds as they grow and then do they hatch and start eating through the buds? because there are none on the leaves or on the stems just right near the small bud center on the small sugar leaves and eventually they seem were they are located that they will get covered up by the growing buds!!!! they are never on the stems or outside of the big fan leaves!!!!!!
