HELP! Wife against idea of me having a grow room..

It all depends on how much he wants to grow...if this is just a lil experiment or hobby and you love your wife, then try to get her to compromise, but dont leave her, if growing weed is truly a passion for you though, like it is for me, then i'd leave her.

My Mrs was the same for about 5 years (I'v been with her nearly 6) - We now have a tent in our bedroom! (The weed we get round area is shite and expensive)
I basically said the weed that I would grow would be 10 times better than the stuff we buy on the streets and think of the money we'd save (Dealers round here want £10 a gram - for damp shite or sprayed shite) every now and then we get a good bit but most of the time its crap!
I now grow maximum 2 plants - just enough for me and the Mrs (Personal consumption - no commercial growing for me!)
Good luck, I hope she see's things your way soon but don't leave her over it (find a compromise!)

ok Here are some things you can try
1. Next time you go score some weed pretend that you got robbed and beat up. Tell her its getting dangerous out there and you want to be safe.( keep the money to help start your grow).
2. Get her super duper high then ask her.( remember to record it )
3.Ask her in her sleep ( Again remember to record her answer)
4. Tell her that you have a dream on how to cure cancer and that you need to grow tomatoes and weed to start the research. ( You don't really need to grow the tomatoes , but they are helpful to help prevent prostate cancer)..You can even have tell her that now she can tell her friends that she is married to a scientist..
5. Start spending lots and lots of time outside the house being gone.. When she starts to wondering where you going just say out...after 3 weeks just tell her that you and this lady friend started a grow in HER house since she did not want you to do it in yours and then give her a kiss and tell her you will be back late.
OK OK for real dude just do your homework and let her see just how much you have looked into this...Get a piece of paper to show her what and how you will do this ( keep it small 2- 3 plants tops). You must assure her how you will keep it safe. Remember you will not win this one by getting mad..When she tells you about how you can get busted ask her how would she do it better just for the sake of argument....If you can get her to start giving advice or ideas on keeping it safe then you got her thinking about a grow-op.. and dude don't leave you wife over weed thats crazy talk....

Well if you do leave her over this you have to play it smart. You can't let that be the reason that SHE thinks you are leaving. I'd suggest quit smoking pot and change your ways, THEN leave and start your grow op. If my girl and I ever split i'd probably get rid of my illegals, relocate and grow some veggies for awhile till everything blew over. Even though I don't think she would personally snitch, she'd probably run her mouth to family/friends about what type of activities I was involved in. Pissed off ex's are probably right up there on the list of why people get busted.

Oh and btw, fuck all these people insulting you about even thinking of leaving your wife. If this is something you really desire to do in life and she is 100% against it, you will not be happy and that will eat away at your relationship. I know that if my girl told me I "had" to stop, she'd be out the fucking door so goddamn fast and i'd relocate and be cool for a good bit of time. Fuck taking orders from SO's. Been there, done that, never again. Luckily my girl is cool with it, she doesn't smoke though but doesn't give a damn if I do what I do. Although, sometimes I think being single and alone would be the absolute best choice for these activities.
I agree. I hate the idea of marijuana > marriage, but I hate the idea of not being able to do something I feel passionate for because my partner says so, more.

Have you looked into micro grows? Something like a pc case with cfls?
Here's a logical argument I used: If you buy from a dealer, chances are you will have to get in your car and get on government owned roads to go to your dealers house, buy the dope(dangerous) and then get back on the road and go home while riding dirty(dangerous). Personally I think the probability of getting busted is greater when you have to carry it in your car on a regular basis.
I dont' know what country you live in but in the US where i'm from there is no such thing as an unreasonable search. All they need is a dog to walk around your car while they FORCE it to alert and you get busted. Even if you live in an apt I think as long as your grow cab is locked and there is no strong smell off weed you will be fine.
I would hope that big box with locks on it would not be enough for a landlord to call the cops just on that alone. If so, i'll find out. I mean, there could be anything in there, and frankly it's none of their business.

LOL - Thats how I started it... Didn't take me long to work up to a tent though... I just said a PC is not gonna produce the right amount to last both of us (My Mrs tokes too, so it wsn't to difficult to twist her arm)

ok i have some advice. I was in the same boat. My wife was crazy aginst the idea. So i went out and got a couple of cfls. spent less than 20 bucks. she was still hesetant, thought it would coast to much to set up and run, plus police danger. Then i took her over to a friends house days before harvest. Now she is as into it as i am. Look at it this way, i have kids and am married, i am at home almost all the time i'm not working, her to. so now we have a joint hobby. she takes care of turning off the lights and keeping a writen journal, its bonding and comunication, if ya cant talk to her its a bad sign. good luck
