Hello everyone, I am a little unclear on what is needed so I wanted to type what I think needs to be done and you can correct if I am wrong, or any helpful suggestions would be appreciated as well.
Other than procuring the materials for the mixture, the steps taken are:
Switch to flower, wait for pistils to show then spray STS mixture, 3 days later repeat, 3 days after that repeat again, then wait 5 days and spray again, by that time you should see balls start forming (2-3 weeks from initial spray).
This is where I am confused at. If I wanted to quarantine them so I couldn't spread pollen if the sacs opened, how would I do this?
I saw someone cut a branch off that was treated with the STS and then dipped the end of the stalk into a bottle of water (almost like they were 'cloning') and let the pods grow and then they put that bottle of water into a clear plastic tub and let nature do its course. I assume since there isnt any flower production using a low wattage CFL or fluroescent tube style light would be adequate to keep it alive? I was going to use a different tent to do my science experiment haha, but realized if it dropped pollen it might infect future generations if I didnt get every damn microscopic dust out of the tent after doing this. Or maybe Im overthinking it. I just hate finding beans unless theyre supposed to be there lol
After collecting the pollen I would then take the Pollen from cloned and reversed sts Plant A and then use a brush and apply it to Plant A's mother and then the seeds that come from that should all be very similar to Plant A Mother?
Sorry for being so inquisitive and needing to be sure I'm doing everything right, the mother is the last of the seed and I really need to preserve the genetics because it really makes me feel special when I smoke it. we all have that strain that makes us feel a certain type of way and I cannot find this online anywhere to procure the genetics or seeds again.
2nd question, although not as important as above... If I decided to take that pollen of a feminized NON auto Plant A, and applied it to autoflowers would the resulting beans be autoflowering? I realize it would be a phonotype lottery of what I would get, but as long as they would be autos that would be kind of cool. Thanks community!
