i remember from a few posts back that you were time restricted... so y not do some autoflowering plants..? it only takes like 2.5 months from seed to harvest?

Well was hoping to have it done by x-mas time, but thats looking out the window. Definatly the next batch of seeds will be autoflowering. Some have said (can't remember where) that there was less potency/yield from them. But there is so many conflicting stuff I read while doing research...better to hear it from the horses mouth. How are you finding them??

One more question - bottem of the cupboard is concrete, was going to paint with matt paint...my man says concrete breathes...will this effect growing conditions?

I agree for my first grow i used autoflowers and it didnt turn out how i expected. in my opinion they recquire more care. Smoke may not be as potent as a regular plant but it can still be up in the 20% thc level at optimum conditions.. CO2 will make a big difference for them..

If you wanna be able to get it done by christmas defniately autoflower would be the best way to go but they recquire alot more care than regular plants.. potency is not up to the 25% rating but theirs some in the 20% rating and plants can yield from 1-2oz..

Damn the seeds are a birthday present from my mother in law....should have ordered them from the start. Damn!! My own stupidity...I'm taking out a loan (which I usually get for x-mas to pay for hash) but was hoping they would be done for x-mas.
And am going to cut a hole in a old table I have for the pot.

Just thought i would show you what can be achieved with a bit of loving care and attention
Oh yeah and 48days from seed on 18/6 and 67 days on 12/12 So far that is a running total of 115 days of growing.
ON the pics are 2 3ft tall plants and a little clone.
Have included some early pics too.

Wow, they're beautiful. I'm so excited I can't wait. Going by your time scale, plus the curing process looks like it will be after x-mas 
I'm not too clued up on strains yet - what strain is it?

They arent autoflowering
The one with the 4 main colas is Flying Dutchmen Pot of Gold. a Cannabis cup winner back in the day.
the one with 2 colas is a sativa dominant bagseed.
Havent tried any of the girls yet. POG is getting chopped on Thurs/Fri
The colas on the POG are about 3 inches diameter and around 10inches long. Lots and lots of little bud sites all over it though. I think the POG alone is gonna net me around 3-4oz

Wow, thats pretty good yeild!! One more question - should I paint the concrete floor white for more reflection? Plus should I use some tinfoil to reflect the light. Was reading it can cause burn spots, but thought as it's only the 400w hps light it might be okay??

Its only my 3rd grow. Ive been growing since Xmas 09. BUt i do nothing but read!
Tin foil doesnt create hot spots as such. Thats a bit of a myth. ITs just that its hard to create a completely flat surface with the tin foil leading to reflection problems.
You are better off with flat white paint. Doesnt really matter about painting the floor. My grow room floor is nothing but GAFFA TAPE, see pic

Its actually 2 mains with 2 secondary's Then i have around 15 other small little colas dotted around the plant.
All i did was top the plant really early. The plant wasnt even bigger than 3inches when i topped her. Her main stem only comes out of the medium about 2ish inches then splits into 2 mains. Then everything comes off those 2 mains.
