I've always wanted to try SS, I don't have anywhere to cook it though. I've never done soil indoors just for that reason.
The cooking process can happen indoors although in direct sunlight is best, keep out bugs. You can do the mixing indoors too but wet it down first and still wear a mask, it's a bit pricey but you can't beat the simplicity of SS and taste of weed is second to none, remember this is for a small mix, you can do it I did it, my hardest time was waiting for cooking time to finish.

So what would one use as a fertilizer later on? Do you brew some sort of organic "tea" or use regular shop bought nutes? Or is that more of a matter of personal prefrence? Sounds intruiging.

Oh damn, that looks so sweet! Nice work, everything fits so perfectly lol. Don't forget the net. :D

Those two in the middle are going to be beasts.

Thank's man I hope so

The middle ones will move around eventually as 2 of those girls will be moving to the wardrobe where they will be the mothers to all new generations

Will get the scrog net in there in 2 weeks I think ordered some biobizz all mix to use it as top soil as I came a bit short with my mix I think it will be okay

Also the vacuum from the ventilation fan is working so well that I took the osciliating fan out re did the ventilation again to get rid of some noise so made the box smaller clean filmed my fan and filled the box with expanding foam did the trick but however the noise that concerns me now comes from the actual tent
Wich I realised is the air moving in the ducting and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with insolated ducting

Now about the vacuum

Let me explain perhaps a picture will do better

Maybe my fan is too powerful for my set up but all I can say it works for me I have no need to push fresh air into the tent as it sucks it in just by the vacuum created by the fan 6" rvk A1

When it was in the wardrobe the box was bigger and I had to twist the ducting around wich made it less efficient that is why I actually had to re do it at first .

Any one else running a set up like that ?
I am just wondering 20151204_220322.jpg20151204_220312.jpg

Yup. Powerfull fans make noise. The way i had to do mine was mount the intake and exhaust fans inside the roof of the cabs with the filters outside the cab. I also had to use sound deadener around the exhaust fan. Now i just get a little refrigerator hum untill i open the door, then it sounds like i stepped in a running 747. When the lights come on, your intake air will be more dense then the exhaust air thus, using the same diameter intake and exhaust will make more turbulent noise when the light comes on. Using a slightly bigger diameter exhaust (or a shorter exhaust run) will help bring exhaust noise down when the lights turn on. Just incase your looking for some silence. If your venting is efficient enough, you might not even have much noise at all.

You add nothing and you use zero nutes, however during the different stages of growth you brew different types of teas for instance I make a banana peel tea with molasses to add to my water ( I'm in flower , high in potassium) and other teas high in potash.

SPL

I had almost no noise when the whole system was in the wardrobe was really sound proof now with the tent not so much

I am thinking of some changes still

I run
( tent ) intake - ducting -fan - ducting- filter

And because the noise that concerns me comes from the tent even If the whole system is in the wardrobe

I might go for

( tent ) filter - intake ducting -fan - ducting extraction into the wardrobe.

But I am afraid it might take some power out of the intake

What is your opinion

When I buy fans I try to buy good quality as it gets hot here. I run 4x10" WHISPER fan very powerful only run 2 for most of the year 4 few summer very littlie noise. Run 9x600 HPS

9x600hps that must be very efficient then

So if I understand well Bryan you run 9 lights for 6 plants ?
