i have my co2 tube with holes draped up about a foot above my plants. i grow in a cabinet so, since co2 is lighter than air would it still make it to my plants so the whole photosynthesis thing is sped up?
Like the other guy said, its heavier then air, so make sure you have a fan blowing at the bottom of the plants, you can actually suffocate the roots if you dont have proper air flow and let all the co2 settle.

for around 55$ u can get a 5 lb co2 tank already filled, then all u need is a regulator(25$) and a co2 bubble counter(5$) On ebay they do sell electric solenoid co2 regulators with a bubble counter built in(65$) so that you can hook it up to a timer. All this for around or under 100$.
so all i need is a CO2 Tank and one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JBJ-CO2-Regulator-bubble-counter-check-valve-NEW_W0QQitemZ380086699363QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item380086699363&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

and do i just set it up to a timer when my lights come on, and this will pump out CO2 to the level i set it at???

am i reading it right? coz thats a great way if true?!"

i have a few plants that are 4 days old now, when is the best time to introduce co2 to them? i thought is was only during flowering that i should do co2...

Newbie, first grow in areogarden. I tried to do drip system, but I ended up drowning them and I also ferterlized too soon. As soon as they popped up I put them in rockwool block, I know now that I should have waited 3 weeks or more. I figured areogarden less stress for me and the plants. I am a little over zelous and think that I have to do too much, I've learned from that now and have read alot on this webpage that has helped.

Closet grow, I need to know what I can get in there that is cheep (no budget left, spent it on the ebb and flo), that will help with the smell?

i plan on waiting until the plant gets a good rootball in about 4 weeks and then transplanting them in rockwool 4X4 cubes and continue with a flood and drain system, any advice or should i just leave them in the aerogarden? i have an ebb and flow setup and ready to go... just having problems getting seeds too afraid to order them on line, in fact I am a little worried about this website, has anyone had any problems posting and then being caught?I'm really trying desperatly and hopefully getting my girls to live through my mistakes. I have made a few and have learned from them. Any help or advice I would greatly appericate it!!!

Oh yeah, I smoke cigs next to my closet crow, when I open the door smoke gets in the room will that cause my babies to die? i know to wash my hands before i go in and after i leave. Because nicotine kills bud...

Thanks,
Toker1505:wall:

What do I say to curious folks who ask why I am wheeling a big tank around when I bring it for a re-fill?
Besides welding, Is there any other uses for a huge tank?

How big are the tanks in soda fountains?? You could say you're a serious home-brewer.. Its a cleaner way to carbonate beer for those who don't like home-brew sediment..
If you are going to go with a story like that though, study up on the excuse.. The last thing you want is for the guy to be interested in brewing himself, and wanna chat if you know nothing about beer making.. Actually high-end brewing can get VERY complex.. I suppose you could say you're picking up the tank for somebody else who brews..
Don't jump into excuses though, just have them ready incase the guy actually asks.. There is nothing more obvious that somebody too eager to shoot off a BS story.. With any luck he'll know the game, and just hand you the bottle..
Thats what I always found when I bought HIDs from contractor outfitters.. You'd think a university kid buying lots of high-bay lighting would warrant some curiousity, but they were always smart/polite enough to know that I didn't want to be put on the spot regarding a grow op..:) The only time I ever even had a conversation with the guy was the first time I bought them.. I needed cords that didn't come with the bare-bones units, and asked what they had in stock.. The guys reply was "Well, if you aren't going to need to pass code inspection the cheapest way it to just cut up some extension cords..":) He knew what I was up to.. He was rooting for me though I could tell.. And there was no way to identify me since I didn't drive there, and payed cash, and I had a nifty way to get them home safely just incase..

they last a few days, you should try and get the tops of the bottles above the plants because its heavier than air, another good way is to have a jug with vinegar up high and have a tube with a drip emiter going down to a pan or bottle with baking soda on it, then it just drips away and makes co2 for longer
Whats the cost on this and does it produce a good amount of CO2? Can Co2 be used in the veg stage or is it only good for in flowering, cause ill be flowering outdoor... :bigjoint:

C02 is heavier than air and falls.

It doesn't rise.

Id recommend using a single 2 litre bottle for each plant, drill a hole in the top of the bottle lids and glue aquarium airline into the lid, wrap it around the top of your grow room/plants. And wa la.

Also spray your plants with Carbonated Water.
Thats one I never heard of but I am very interested in.....whats the deal with spraying plants with carbonated water? Can you add nutes and foliar feed that way?

Just so you know, making your own co2 is fine and all for 1 - 4 plants... but if you plan on going bigger, for around 55$ u can get a 5 lb co2 tank already filled, then all u need is a regulator(25$) and a co2 bubble counter(5$) On ebay they do sell electric solenoid co2 regulators with a bubble counter built in(65$) so that you can hook it up to a timer. All this for around or under 100$.

For those who want more, pick up a 20lb tank for only 150$ - 185$ and it should only be around or under 1$ per lb of co2 you buy.
.
I found a guy on craigslist selling his 20lb co2 tank that he used for his Keg for $60.

Can someone check out this ebay link and tell me if this is what I need please? or if I can use that. Thanks a bunch!

Thats a pretty well understood fact, already 're'stated on this very page if you could read.. Oh and for the record, sentences begin with capital letters, so you could take your own advice I suppose..

KGB, plants can absorb nutrients through the leaves, but you need to be careful.. They can't handle alot AT ALL that way, maybe 1/8th strength, and you can scorch plants if you spray them under the lights.. Its a method best reserved for correcting minor imbalances withoutchanging the general balance in the soil/resevoir..

Awesome. Did this today, and it worked incredibly well. Wow!

Thanks for saving me the time of finding dry ice. That sounded like a PITA, plus $$$.
