you're right man, it really is a matter of patience and steadiness and playing around with two distances (between the camera and the lens, and between the lens and the bud) and also knowing how close your camera can focus to begin with... such a good tool to have handy!! speaking of which, i've got some new close-up barley legal bud porn to post in a min. by the way, looking forward to your dwc grow micro! i'm sure it'll be very educational.

Rainy over there right now? It was pouring buckets an hour ago over here, and it's supposed to go on through the day tomorrow. I can't wait till I can get some plants going outside...I'm loving the pics, you're surely an artist with a cheap magnifying glass...lol...Can't wait till our girls are done, but I figure as long as I have 32 streaming webcams going at all times, and I never let myself get more than 15" away from the plants, they seem to be growing double speed! Or maybe it was the motivational speaker we had last week, still waiting on Jorge Cervantes to get back to me...

Whatever Blue Cream is, I like it. It seems to be showing fast resin production right away.

thanks meta for the comps. 32 webcams huh? oh i just remembered, i got that little solar power fan today... it's a piece of shit! haha. it's tiny, it needs to be practically touching (thus blocking) the light to work, and even at full speed, it moves about 3 leaves. so, i'll keep it as a "hat fan" for those sunny concerts...

and yeah man, it's been raining up here for weeks it seems. cept for couple dry days earlier in the week. this morning was a storm... can't complain though, most of the year is superb.

i like it too! showing all that after only 19 days of 12/12. smells very sweet too. i *think* the genetics are "DJ Shorts Blueberry crossed w/ AK-47 F1" but not 100% sure, never am about these things lol.

Bummer about the fan, I had high hopes for it. My little solar rocking flower rocks, though it used to tower over the plants in the DWC, and soon they're gonna take that shit over! Growing in H2O is a whole new learning curve, and this batch is gonna be my screwed up first child..."How we're we supposed to know she shouldn't smoke and drink while pregnant??"...lol...Thank God I don't have kids...yet.

plants are looking sexxy homer.. went to go germinate one of my freebies and realized that i misread the label on my "amnesia" freebie.. its actually a strain called - Anestesia..? but., the seed seemed to have a little crack on it, and it was starting to schafe up in the bag a little bit ( little pieces of the shell were shedding off lol ) just wondering if the seed is still healthy enough to germ./ plant? its not crushed or anything.. no hijack intended brother .+ rep if it lets me

You never can tell with dispensary clones. Half the time I wasn't even sure if the guy behind the counter even remembered where he worked. Lucky, smoke-pot-and-talk-to-people-about-how-great-pot-is-all-day bastards.

yeah, it is too bad about the fan, i was hoping to get some energy free ventilation from it... but the idea is still solid. just need a better model. haha, yeah it's a good thing your "first child" plants only have a 3-4 month life span, only so much damage you can do lol. i'm sure they'll be great though, already sounds like it.

thanks lee! amnesia, anestesia, same thing right? lol. don't know much about germing seeds buddy, never actually done. both my grows so far have been from clones.

alright!!! new pics!!! i got a chair and a pipe!!! my camera is kind of old now... it's a nikon coolpix s7c. they still make one similar but it is 10 megapixels i think... mine is a 7.2 megapixels. it has a wlan feature and i can send my pics to my pc wireless. that is why i like it so much!!

i spent a few hours with my ladies this morning/afternoon.

first i gave them a little milk/water treatment for the powdery mildew and then a "shower"...





then i spent quite a while outfitting them with their "dollar tree hat". it wasn't easy, and some leaves were lost. luckily no buds (that i know of). i used a few skewers and duct tape to keep the "hat" a few inches above the rim of the pot. i also undid all the floral wire and did "minimal" tying with some actual electric wire that i bought specifically for that purpose. you can see it in some of the pics.
