Here's how I bet a 20 year felony for manufacturing marijuana. I happen to be home from work one day and I heard helicopters in the distance which we always do in the fall. I've grown a couple Outdoors at my property for years. Well this time they found them. The Chopper Circled my house until the Suburbans pulled up my driveway. So long story short my wife was super pissed thank god they only charged me and didn't search my house. So I call my attorney and he didn't even wanna take on the case. Said not much he could do with all the evidence against me. I told him to look at the med. MJ laws. I think there's a loop hole. He called back and said your right. Now he wanted the case bad. Wanted to maybe be the first one that went this route. In Michigan your allowed 12 plants indoors in a locked room with a med card approved by the state. This was the first year of the new laws and there was a lot of gray area. I figured out that if I got a doctor's approval only. The law said with the doctor's approval you can grow whatever it takes to go without unterrupted use nothing about it being indoors or about 12 plants just uninterrupted use. OK here's where the card actually would limit you to 12 plants so I didn't get my card I just got a doctor's approval. It was the very last line of the new law. Section 9 I believe. I knew about this gray area before the season but sure hoped I didn't have to test it. Sure as shit it took all of about 10 min. with the prosecuting attorney and he came out and says how's a $210 usage sound. I say hell yeah!! He wanted me to take it to trial and again be the first in the state to win this way. I said you must be crazy you already charged me five grand is going to cost me any more than five grand of course it is. Hell no we're getting it done today. I almost couldn't believe it actually worked. So I walked away with a small fine and loss of driving licence for 6 months. in Michigan if you're charged with a drug crime they take your driver's license from you. Need less to say I was very happy that day. My wife didn't expect me to come home. She figured I would get at least 6 months. That's how I beat a big felony in Michigan. Needless to says that section was amended before the next year.lol
