well try this. name the last person in your family that was a slave. what was his relation to you. tell us some of the stories they used to tell you as a kid. let us know how his enslavement helped form your opinions and your experiences in life.
not a fair question
i can read between the lines here and i understand where you are coming from these are question that i can not personaly answer

stories of tragedy are passed down. we are reminded of the past everytime we incounter hate - the fact that i am here in the US without knowing how i gat here other then the slave trade has formed my opinions in life - when your child ask you were do the family come from you will be able to tell them right down to the town and city in that country you prolly even have family who still visit from the "old country" , but blacks in the US can only trace as far back as down south US, if that. we have been robbed of our past and the only past that we have whites are tired of us bringing up - black history is US history - for a black person everything is a reminder of slavery. when you pass something down to your son , something thats been in your family for generation you wont have to bring up the fact that it came from the slave owner or a slave- every time i here my last name it remindes me of slavery. when i watch movies that date back, if they show a black person they are a slave. these thing and many more have helped form my opinions in life. do you realise my great gandfather's, great gandfather was a slave and before him there is no history, yet shit happened blacks werent allowed to read or be educated so no one documented anything. i hpes this help but i could go on and on

His "Dialing finger" was broken. Oh wait, That's the same one he uses to pull the trigger on his gun...................;-)
not a fair statement
not ever one response the same under pressure. cant say i would have shot them either (like to think i would have) but maybe i would have called the cops, might just have shot in the air. dont know till you there - people love to revisit a seen and say what they would have done - but even you can agree with you realy dont know untill your' there

MM you don't even mind that you are racist do you? I know I know, you will say you have friends that are black, but that is just what you guys do.

You guys love to be able to say how it is, so it should be fine to call you a racist.

How instead of asking about a practice that has been illegal since the civil war, you instead ask him the last time one of his family was confronted with racism, or not able to get an interview due to racism.
