Anyone seen just the bulbs out in the wild I can't find one anywhere .I have the gold ballast and raptors already just need the bulb.......

I wanna run one soon in the raptor over one tray in my big tent against the AutoCobs over the other tray .........
Yeah just Google ceramic hps then find the one that says Hortilux EYE Ceramic HPS . Scroll down and enter your zip code ... I found 2 stores in under 7 miles 10 within 25 miles.

Be forewarned that while I see the bulb in stand alone packaging at my local hydro stores I have not physically been there to see them being sold as a stand alone item .

I've been talking with my grow store guy about these the last month. He has a couple coming in soon, and one has my name on it. I was impressed when I saw the stat sheet on them on the hortilux site... 85 CRI?!?!?! Definitely gotta be a huge step up from the regular SE HPS lamps. Looking to do a side by side with the Ceramic HPS and HLG 550 LED. Should be epic!
Right??
Cost wise the 550 can be had for just over $800 bucks if you buy the equivalent kit.
More than double the entry cost for a SE 1KW HPS ballast, hood and bulb.
I actually bought a stupid kit and have since replaced 2 bulbs at 75 bucks each.
Im around $550 invested over a year for HID lighting. Next round I'm good but after that I will need a bulb again etc.
While HPS is killing it IMHO I have a lil 65w Samsung QB vegging half of a 2.5x4 closet. The other side has a Mars 300 (135w of blurple) and the mother plants and clones thrive soooo much under the QB their is no doubt my go to for veg.

This side by side will be the industry's best technological advancements in about 5 years. We can truly revisit this question with an HID worthy of comparison in spectrum and hopefully intensity.

Can't wait to see this!

I saw the hlg at my local shop recently, I’m impressed with how bright it is. Have you done a side by side yet and how do you like the hortilux, I need a new light and that seems the best for the price

I was considering using one of these in a 5x5 tent with one plant and a 6"Vortex exhaust. I can't believe nobody has any feedback on these! I was waiting to see one dense nug grown from these before I bought it. Anybody? I grow to smoke buds first and foremost. Seems to really smash the red spectrum.

I have a Platinum Led P1200 alongside an SE600. The SE is a nice lamp but is HOT - you do have to keep younger tender plants at the recommended 36" distance or more but as they mature the lamp can be closer. The light penetration is there and lower branches do bud "heavier" than other lamps I have. It does cover about a 4x4. The bud was comparable to the led side, I think the led buds are a bit denser but overall its ok. I used the CHPS bulb it came with. Not sure I'd buy another one to use for flowering with but now trying it out on a veg instead.
