Some great tips here-stealth is totally doable, even in an apartment with the occasional visitor. Flowering (obviously) is gonna be the big stinker, but do the math with how many cubic feet your dealing with and make sure your ventilation replaces your air every 5 minutes, make sure you have twice as much exhaust as intake, yadda yadda. But definitely learn to fix stuff around the house yourself. If you get a townhouse or apartment in a really big complex, there will be routine maintenance stuff like fire detector checks, air filter replacements, etc.
I don't think a landlord can come in without giving you notice, or without you there (laws may differ for you, tho). But just be smart, do the numbers with your ventilation/carbon filter, and try and find a place like a duplex or a house split into apartments, where the landlord owns several other properties but not enough to need official inspections and stuff. You should be good after the move in, as long as you don't have a catastrophic leak or something you can't handle.
I mean, the dude was definitely a dick about how he said it all, but you have to understand where he is coming from. You are gonna be growing in someone else's house, and it is gonna be risky. Just be sure and watch your shit, and hope that you find a landlord that burns, lol.
