Looking nice and healthy bud..I wouldn't flip till you veg at least two months imo... That is if you want any real yield...

Can I do that and still keep the plant height at around 3 1/ feet? Ive only got 5 square feet to play with
yes you can keep them much shorter than that if you want

I just finished harvesting my last run, 4 plants filled a 4x4 canopy and not one plant was taller than 24"

just got to train them lots, top them 2 or 3 times and have patience

This is a pic of the canopy while in flower. these plants vegged for 45 days , as i said, tallest plant is 22.5 inches

Wait until it reaches 24" in height, go total darkness for 48hrs then switch to 11/13 cheers

Never heard of that. Does the dark period make it switch straight to flowering without the stretch period?
This approach uses up all the stored energy. You'll see amazing results by seeing the stomatas pop when introducing the short light cycle with a 3000k spectrum. Cheers

Do you water or feed before you go dark?
I'm in 7gal air pots, I have a system in place based my environment. My schedule is typically every other day or every three days for watering or adding nutrients. So what I do is go in between my schedule for darkness before flipping light schedule. Again I'm a novice/hobbyist, so certainly read all the forums, take notes from guys who have the same grow conditions/environment as your grow.
You're plants will certainly let you know when its watering or feeding time, the leaves will droop and your soil will be dry "stick your fingers around in the soil when you see them droop". This way you'll dial in your schedule. Cheers!

They look great, nice and healthy. They look pretty indica dominant from the leaves and growth. I would definitely give them a few more weeks to veg. If these were my plants I would prune the large fan leaves off the top half of the plant to open it up and let light down inside. You can leave the smaller ones and lower ones to catch light still, no need to remove them all. I'm all about training and selective pruning during veg to build the structure of the plants so they have a strong foundation to support the buds when in flower.

I thought about cutting them but just opted to tuck them because of how thick the branch stems are. I wasn’t sure about it would affect my plant and I don’t want to stunt growth for too long. Even with training I don’t think I’m gunna be able to keep them in veg another 2 weeks. Do people ever use multiple screens? One to keep fan leaves down and the other to support the potential bud sites. Pic is 32 days under 18/6 image.jpg

Some people use multiple screens sure. Are you just worried about the size of them with regards to flowering, or is there a time issue? They look pretty Indica dominant which means they might not stretch as much as you think, and if you combine proper training you won't have a height issue I don't think. Maybe just give them a week, if they grow a lot in that time. Really you can flower whenever, and you will grow some buds. If your ready to flower now, go for it. Successfully growing some plants to completion is the first big goal before worrying about maxing out yields.

Even if removing the leaves slowed growth for a day or 2 it would allow the nodes to receive light and help them reach up to even out a canopy. Pruning in veg is a great time to help control the plants growth.

Yea they are all heavy Indy. I actually prefer them to grow up instead of out. That’s why I waited so long to top them. I’m probably just being impatient. Is there any correlation between potency and veg time? Or does veg only correlate to yield? I’m not so much concerned with the yield as I am with the quality of the bud.
