You need a reality check.Can't keep a hps on 24/7 especially if I make it to flower phase also I don't trust hps lights both grows have hermed on me could be endless possibilities to why but I know them hps lights beam way too much heat
People have been growing with HPS for decades. So the idea it's the HPS fault your plants hermed and not poor genetics or poor environmental control is crazy.
Also, houses are generally at a reasonable temperature unless derelict.
Your also not considering that under HID- HPS , CMH or MH the grow room can be a fair degree lower temp for plants to be happy, as opposed to LED which we generally like to keep warmer.
Standard practice either way is lights off during warmest part of the day.
End of the day, if it costs more to keep a space warm using led then it defeats the purpose.
