go to a 5 gal at least if you want to grow them that large.Those I begged for a month now that I do 12/12 from seed I've been using 2gal smart pots which I think do good I have been thinking of going to 3 gal though

which is water soluble, so it's probably all used uo, or washed away by the first month of flower.
I like crab meal, neem meal, doghair (for the longterm), fish meal, and alfalfa meal as my nitrogen inputs.
The key is to mix the availability of the nutrients so it breaks down at roughly the rates that the plant likes.
Grass clippings are awesome too
