How long do i hold pressure in my vac?

Just got a new vac chamber.. trying to make some shatter.. Right now its sitting at full vac with 115 temp...
just wondering if i can leave it at full vac at that temp over night... or is the point of vac purging to vac and release over and over again..

Yes, vacuum till you get to the max vac at your elevation, then close your valve and turn off your pump. Voila! check on It tomorrow...

depends on the consistency you want.. and starting material.. also.. best way to purge.. is continued flipping.. after the muffin starts to turn into just an oil with some bubbles.. take it out.. let it cool for a second making it easier to flip.. flip.. pull vac again.. do this 5-10 times. allows you to retain as much terpenes as possible while getting out as much butane as possible..

had it in the vac for 9 hrs. in the morning it looked like this. its very glassy. a bit of a pain to get on the dabber. but I kinda like it like that.

there is little to no sizzle.

the dab leaves a small black mark on the nail. is this anything to be concerned about?

Yes! Does the black look like a pile of black cookie crumbs? Parrafin waxes.

no its more of a stain on the nail. no crumbs

Glad I came across this before I posted, had pretty much thesame question.

So what's the reccomendation for temp?

And what is the difference in vac procedure for the different consistancies?

different temps and time will effect the end product..
im still fairly new at vac purging.
But I THINK shattertemp is 100 -120f
and honeycomb/wax is 120 - 135 f.. wax takes longer

The cooler the better imo. Higher temps and high vacuum will boil off terpenes.

115f being a high, I try not to let it go above 107f.
