How long until the anxiety goes away?

I was prescribed two weeks worth of Xanax once and it was really nice at first. Then after a week I was just tired as fuck all the time and would get super unmotivated. Near the end of the two weeks, I had already built up a tolerance for it and it didn't do much.

It is script only, but very easy to get. It is non addictive, especially @ 50mg you may be thinking of Xanax, I'm talking Zoloft, an SSRI. If nothing else try St john's wort, it's non-prescription

Social anxiety, like I'm just nervous for absolutely no reason.
When you start getting into psychology (and maybe psychedelics) you will find that reason. Its very obvious, and very not obvious at the same time. More obvious with courage, lets say :)

I would advise you to read this same book I`ve been given about basic psychology. 'What do you do after you say Hello' by Eric Berne. Its certainly not a hard to understand book, a 6 year old could understand it. A book I would call medicinal :)

It outlines something called 'Transactional Analysis'. When two people say something to each other, that is 1 unit of social action. And there is a transaction between the two people, with a certain psychological payoff. The book will help you find out which payoff`s you seek, and why. The answers are usually hidden somewhere between the ages 2 and 6.

Also, the more complicated your mind is, the more intelligence you need to sift through the thoughts fast enough in social scenarios. With pot slowing your head a little bit thats the cause of anxiety. Its a matter of focus and attention directed at the right places to solve it.

Maybe its time to put the herbs aside and take on some self exploration buddy! Life is a journey of self development, don`t forget :)

Edit: Propranolol & Benzodiazepines will offer you some control over it, but not for all the time. With side effects. Look into Propranolol!

St. John's Wort can cause suicidal thoughts and make people depressed, even though it's used for treating depression.

Haha I know man that's what I'm doing. Because I recently learned that it had already been scientifically proven that long-term marijuana use causes anxiety in people who are normally non-anxious. The anxiety is mainly only there when I'm sober, but it's just become too much of a nuisance.

Tolerance breaks are a good way to go about clearing out the mind fodder IMO, i do them once or twice a year for at leaste a month a shot.During those times I find a great deal of different insights coming to mind, new ideas crop up,and self reflection about life and what i choose to do with it.But for others it may be needed to tak the extended breaks.

Haz, how long did you smoke before quitting though?
For like a year on and off. I started noticing I was suffering from panic attacks, depression and anxiety, so I stopped smoking and drinking and slowly reintroduced myself into it after about 4-5 months of no smoking and drinking. I never smoke weed daily (However I have just recently returned from a 5 day to Amsterdam, of which I did smoke everyday) and I'm not the kind of person that can smoke daily without it catching up on me in some way!

Yeah I'm kinda excited though because I'm sure I'll smoke again, hopefully I can get a high similar to my first lol.

So the pharmaceuticl companies want you to believe. If it was that widespread, they certainly would have banned it. Its propaganda. You sound like a 1930 ant-pot ad!! LOL

Its the best :)

I`ll speak for myself, I always had the anxiety. My life was a bit of a struggle to fit in. Not much of the ideas in my head were of my own invention. More like accepted as true to fit in. The realisations and the chrisis were intense.

I like a small joint from leftovers in the grinder after a big session. Adds on some stability :D

I already take 5-HTP which is supposed to help with anxiety. I'm assuming it will be more effective or I'll start noticing it more while sobering up. It's also beneficial for sleeping.

Before I started growing I didn't smoke that often (5 times a year) due to availability and cost, hence I didn't have a tolerance. I would get anxiety and paranoia just like you described and it took about a year of everyday use for that to go away. I feel some people need to build up a tolerance and they will get over it. It's like that with most substances or drugs whatever you want to call them. The side effects will typically fade. Give it some time and throw some edibles in the mix.

I ran into the same problem a couple years ago. It was absolutly debilitating. I Strarted seeing a shrink & the whole bit. My life was a mess for couple months.

THe councelleor really helped me out. Made me look at things differently. Your anxiety is all in your head. ITs not nearly as bad as you think. Your mind over analizes things & a forgotten hello in the morning from the boss (*who didnt see or hear you becuase he's ina world of his ownwhen he walked by you) turns into everyone including the boss hates me.

I found freedom from it in the bible. (OH GOD, he's one of those) NOt in the way you might think. I realized that you can only do what you can do. You do your best at what ever you do & that's it. If its not good enough, you can feel confident that you did your best. ITs that simple.

ANywyas.. good luck.

That's strange. I've smoked for almost 6 years now, 4 of them being everyday minus 1 - 2 days of being in broke-ville. I love being stoned in public, I feel like I have a heightened relaxation and I'm much more patient than I would be not-high. I can honestly say I've never been "axious" enough to quit smoking, and I've been busted by the boys in blue before with brass knuckles just after putting out a blunt behind a church lol...

C'mon, don't go soft on us.
