I just smoked with JC the other day.

Atheism > Christianity"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)
A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)
If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)
These all sound like great ideas. I'm in.
Spectacular quotes that illustrate your distain for another person’s beliefs.Oh! Oh! Oh!
Here's another one of my favorites where God tells us of the evil things he brings:
Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.
Not really, you see Jesus Christ died for you.blah blah blah im a CRIP!!!!! all the same shit.
Yes, we are...that we are.You can't throw out the old testament and then say we want a do-over, our first written book wasn't what we meant. It doesn't work like that, its a cop out, and it's bad for our planet. End Theology!
And even the New Testament is so flawed and inaccurate. First and foremost, all the Gospels contradict each other on simple things such as Jesus' birth, baptism and death. Also, our boys Matthew, Mark, Luke and John have been proven to not even be the full author of their respective Gospel. Luke especially has been said to have been written by multiple sources over decades.
Come on, people... You are all smarter than this.
then that's just too bad for oneself.
You just have no idea how much so.

Wow you completely missed the point. OK n o w I w i l l s p e a k s l o w f o r y o u. The old testament was Gods first covenant with his people. This covenant came with laws that God understood that we could not keep. So to show our repentance for those sins we were to present a sacrifice to God. Then God sent his only Son to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. This is the new covenant. The old law still stands to convict us of our sins and to show us that we need forgiveness. The old law shows us our sins so that we will turn to Jesus. Jesus sacrificed himself so that we may live with him in heaven. As for the Gospels contradicting each other, give one example of that contradiction would you. And yes there have been few people that question the authors of the Bible but all of those accusations have been proven to be just that accusations. Not one bit of proof. You should take the time to study the Bible for yourself instead of reading some lame book or article that another atheist wrote.
Besides that the very first post of this thread says no debates. But the atheists just can't stand to see Christians come together to peacefully proclaim their beliefs. The devil always attacks the believer. How does it feel to be the tool of the devil.

This was in a college textbook from a Catholic University. It's been PROVEN that the sources of the Gospels CAN'T BE PROVEN. That doesn't seem a bit sketchy to you? That's just as ridiculous as the story of Joseph Smith.

I'll disregard the devil part, as there is no devil. Just a spooky Santa Claus. And as far as for me to name one contradiction, how about this: Read each Gospel. Write down exactly what city Jesus supposed went to and from. Compare to each Gospel. It doesn't match up. But here's another quicker one for you:
In true Jeopardy Style:
The answer is: There were eleven disciples, and Jesus appeared to them first, at this location. - Compare Luke and Matthew.
And another one with the answer in case you don't want to leaf through your testament like most of America's Christians:
How many blind men besought Jesus?
Matthew 20:30 - Two blind men.
Luke 18:35-38 - Only one blind man.
I'll unsubscribe this thread now, and let you all live in peace. But all I ask, is you question these stories which we (yes, myself included) heard growing up. Jonah and the Whale. Job's faith. Adam and Eve.
Hell, there are Catholic priests at the Vatican who will tell you they are just stories with no true facts behind them (See: Religulous). Either way, I'm not one to spew hate time and time again; I just need to express my view, as everyone is entitled to their own, as well as the opportunity to share it with others. Information is not a crime.
