Very true about seeded bud, that gnat is ripping your trichs
That's why all my friends who grow rinse their buds after harvesting.I've read concerns in these groups from people who accidentally got pollen on their plant, and believed the seeds that formed had ruined their hard work to make strong buds.
I personally remember the seed ridden pot from the 70s, so that concern seemed a little unjustified to me. Here's how many trichomes there are on an AK47 bud with seeds, attached to a plant which is estimated to be carrying 200 more. And when it's dried, it's perhaps about half as strong as the best I got from another AK47. That's strong enough, considering you can get S1 seeds too.
There's enough trichomes on there that a fungus gnat has become stuck. See the red circle in the attached foto.
Yuck. I didn't realize that fungus gnats can get stuck. I tried to gently push him off with the point of a toothpick, but he seemed to be hypnotized or something.
Think about that the next time you smoke weed. No one's going to have the patience to remove the gnats that got stuck to your buds.
God, I hope not! Hadn't even thought about them until now.I rinse right after chop with cool water when I do rinse. Gnats give that rotting meat dankness, right?
I'll try again with more water.I dunk them in buckets or run water under faucet or with hose, all gently with no trouble. Understand that these plants are made to get rained on and still keep their pest fighting ability.
IMO: wrong..I rinse right after chop with cool water when I do rinse. Gnats give that rotting meat dankness, right?
Nothing against water cure if I don't do it as I like flowers mostly and the more skunky the better. Rinsing don't hurt and water curing proves it. Pulled my river plants before right after big storms outside.....frosty! Cool not cold water.IMO: wrong..
I'm big on the water cure
as in soaking ur fresh harvested buds in tepid water, for 4 days
as you know thru the hash making with ice
trics are very fragile, they easy wash of in cold water
washing weed under cold water does remove many tric glands
defeating your purpose
neem oil will put an end to bugs in your grow
so whats wrong with a little protien in ue joint
good luck

Yea, I finally figured that out. I was worried I'd be lucky to get 50 seeds on that White Widow. Now I know better.just damping pollen on the 2 lower branches, flowers should offer you more than enough
