I don't even mention I use cannabis to any doctors/nurses anymore. Some people will hold it against you like you're using a schedule 1 narcotic and you're a druggy.

I used to tell them but have had numerous occasions where people noticeably changed after I mentioned it. Pretty much they think you're a druggy if you toke .5 grams a day, might as well be snorting heroin in their eyes.

I am going to see the cardiologist tomorrow and I am going to tell him I eat 1-2 grams raw marijuana a day (yes, it has medical benefits. Heat is only needed for the high). I just know Im going to get a lecture from him talking about toxic pesticides, weed that hasnt been flushed, laced weed and about marijuana being bad in general. I know the laced weed part is mostly bullshit, why sprinkle something that costs a fortune onto a plant thats a lot cheaper? The pesticides Im not sure of, but Im assuming most growers dont want people smoking toxins. I just want to know if there is any unbiased statistics to these ridiculous claims so I can think of a better argument to give to the cardiologist.
I work in a hydro store and can testify to the astounding amount of ignorance regarding toxins and cannabis. We sell chemicals to people that should never be used on anything edible and they don't give a damn because it increases yields or kills insects or prevents fungal disease. Most hydro stores have the 'secret' supplies that you can only get if you ask. Avid, Eagle 20, Floramite are all widely available and widely used. They are systemic and can reside in the plant/soil for many months. Plant growth hormones are very popular and very toxic and widely used. People will buy pesticides at Home Depot or Loews and ask us how much to use, when we tell them not to use it at all they just use less and then sell the finished flowers to their friends. Customers will mix different pesticides together and then apply them to their flowers up to 1 week before harvest and then sell it to the dispensary. A guy came in last week and showed us a picture of flowers that had bud mold. A different store had diagnosed the problem as mites and sold him a pyrethrum bomb even when they knew he was 10 days from harvest, he harvested and sold the flowers.
Most people who grow cannabis have no clue about insecticides, fertilizers, botany, or plants really. They depend on advice from 'experts' who are often mostly clueless themselves. If you don't know the person who grew your stash, and their methods, you could be poisoning yourself unwittingly.
