How to dry and cure while guerilla growing ?

I can't find any good tips on how to..

Why I think it's a good idea to do it outdoors and not indoor ? so it loses weight outdoors ....... just in case something blue happens..

What do you guys think about my idea, get one of these bags:



Spray to green (or get rid of the whiteness), hang it under a hidden tree for 5 days....

To cure: take a plastic container, insert it into a black (or green) plastic bag and bury it, go back every 2 days for a 15 minutes opening.....

Ideas ?

Hey Miko, I know exactly how you feel man. I usually dry outdoors too because the wife gets too paranoid about the smell. I usually hang fishing line and quarter up the plants into manageable pieces to to hang on the line, just like clothes lol. Also you can hang branches around and in trees. Whatever you do don't bury the weed it'll get moldy within a day or two because of lack of air movement.

That's a good idea, it's very very hard to spot, just another tree's branch..

But the problem is I'm worried about insects, that's why I think a bag can block most of them..

Is there any problem with not drying enough when in a bag ?

And about burying it, I thought that when you cure, you're supposed to prevent air movement, but you're saying it'll mold

Yeah I haven't had any real problems with insects from hanging them outside, but I've never tried the screen bag or anything like that. I find it always rains and is humid in the fall so I try to let all the air get to it that I can. About burrying the stash, I found for me it really does always mold but maybe you can figure out away for it not to sweat or mold, I find no matter how dry I get it, they sweat almost immediately after burrying. Anyway not sure exactly why the jars work and burrying doesn't, give it a try and you'll see what I mean the buds get moist quick that way at least in Ziplock bags. I never tried burrying my stash in glass jars but I don't see how it would be any different, I'm bettin it would still suffocate so to speak. Good luck Miko!

Before you cure you have to dry. You can't dry in a sealed, buried plastic container because the moisture has nowhere to go. You'd ruin it.

Right that`s why I hang them outside in trees or clothes line, then bag or jar them up indoor. I tried burrying years ago when I lived with my parents still and it didn`t work at all. Obviously you have to dry first, nobody said anything about not drying first!

Even after its dried I find it continues to release moisture and I think that is why they suggest you open the jars daily for a couple of weeks. :-)

yeah I read it should be like 23 hours closed and 1 hour opened for a week or so ..

iv put up a tent. hang it in there..has to be trimmed up pretty good before hand. and iv also used solar panels with deep cycle boat batteies a power inverter and a small eletric heater to remove mositure from the tent at night only. you cant run the heater 24 7 just not enough power. i would run it every night for 3 4hours after midnight. on a timer.

Excellent idea, I don't have any solar panels but if they are cheap I would try that this year. So far I've tried a generator but, too much noise for my liking. They just stink too much too do it where I live, the whole perimiter of our yard smells when I try and dry it around here.

U can't expect a plastic bag to keep moisture out....if you would have used glass it wouldn't have molded because of being buried !@miko 2 u can bury your glass jars... If you can only do 15 minute burps 5 days of drying may not be enough.....depends on how hot it is .....I wouldn't dry in a bag to avoid bugs... your going to make everything in that bag mold ...I would hang them in a tree!

Hey,

But this cotton bag has so many "holes", it seems quite airy.. it's quite hot in this area, and by the time it ends flowering it will be the end of summer, which still is quite hot .

The problem is that every time I take pics of the plant, I see 1 bug on it, different kind every time, so there are a lot of them there .....

Cotton holds moisture!it will rot!

During it's growth it's no problem, but during the time before it's ready is more of a problem..

And I read spraying Neem-oil after harvest isn't a good idea
