How to "light proof" a hole filled tent.

Here’s the worst of my ac tent, sf4000 an vs4000 both on. This is the view from the back
Do they have the flaps inside that go over the zippers? The mars hydro tents have it, and I’ve been able to fix leaks like that by fixing the flap & zipping up while the flaps are positioned correctly. They also have a flap coming over the zipper line on the door.

I lead the wire from the fan controller thru it, and I’m now in my second flower cycle without issues of light leaks. Light shines thru it with the light on inside. Minimal faint light making it inside from the room at best.

Let me know how the fans are! I’m going to pull the trigger and get a few early october
Their inline fans are awesome. This is the first negative story I’m hearing about one of their tents. I have the T4 with the stock controller. I keep it in a tent that I don’t frequent much. I like that I can just peek at the screen & see all I need to see (temps & RH readings)

As far as I know, even the $40-60 tents have those flaps to obscure the zipper...I have five sub $60 tents and they all have flaps inside the zipper.

If AC don't even have zipper shrouds I'd be dipping lol.

Well, that's pretty nifty. I like the flaps the Hydro has, the AC does not have that. I love my tent and my inlines from them. i have 2 with no problems

It's strange, all the quality issues come from there tents from what I've seen.. there is multiple posts here alone where people have had numerous tents and the replacements arrive damaged, full of leaks and tears.

Their other products seem A1, so they might have to have a stern word with their supplier.

Gorilla tents have the best zippers in the industry. Never had an issue with them.

The A/C fans are Solar and Palau copies. Nothing special about them. My fans are the most quiet fans on the market and last 10 plus years running 24/7 at full speed. You get what you pay for.

No flaps on AC at all :( thus all the duct tape.

I use their inline fan 6” as well. It’s been running 24/7 for the past 3 years in my attic. I should go up there and look at it hahah!
Other things I use by AC is their fabric pots, plant ties, (2) 76 controllers and I love the nursery bags!

If only gorilla made a 5x4 2in1
I'm sussing out a local stores 2 in ones. They have 150x120x200 tents. 30x120 is for planting. I'd be fully sold if it was 50x120 for the second compartment and 100x120 for the main. That way I could hand two to dry in the second compartment and stagger autos, have three sets of two going in the main compartment for a harvest every four or five weeks..

Look bloody handy tbh.

Do you have a link for these knockoff fans that you say have lasted 10 years and are the quietest on the market?

For the S&P? Here ya go paddy https://solerpalau-usa.com/products/isdf.html

These fans were out well before the A/C ones. But these are not the ones I use. I use Panasonic Whisperquiet inline fans. Expensive but you can sleep in the same room with one running. Even at the highest 440 cfm. Link for the Panasonic https://www.rewci.com/panwhisvenfa.html

I have 2 AC Infinity tents and have no issues with either of them. And, both my tents have flaps inside that cover the zippers if you close them properly.
Now it's getting confusing lol. Some have flaps, some don't. My head is spinning. I could just get off my ass and check the product pics, but I'm here for the drama.

The inside flap on the zipper can be buggered if the operator jams the zipper upon closing, then man-handles or forces it to open. This is why some tent zippers fail, are hard to close or have leaks around the zipper; not to mention rips along the seams. Once buggered, the inside flap no longer closes properly over the zipper. This is what I've seen, in my limited experience. YMMV
