Well to now, I just looked at the plants and topped and cleared them at the most likely place based on mainlines I've been ogling in other people's grows :bigjoint:
I would have to check the tutorial to see if I'm anywhere near how she describes it.

Still not sure either of them are keepers; they were so mistreated these past weeks...
Also, especially Tina has a spot on her stem where the tissue looks damaged, kind of orangish-going-woody, so not sure it's not a PM site just waiting to make problems -- no way I'm bringing that into my grow space!

They're putting out some weirdly contorted leaves too, which however I understand is normal for reveg. So letting them grow out a bit more first to decide. On the upside, it looks like they are now understanding it's time to grow some more - putting out leaves, thickening their stems after I gave them some wind for a day or so.

The idea was to go for 8 main colas, theoretically. ;)
But if I grow out Tinkerbell, I may leave the fourway she has now and just top those 1 more time.
It wouldn't be a real mainline then, would it. :p
So we've yet to see about that!

Hm, maybe I should go take a trichome sample from Dusk too?

So I did.
And saw this:

136g wet weight, so that'll be about 30g dry.

Not sure it was really thaaat urgent to take her down, but too late now!
Smoked the resin off our scissors, can't say much about it yet except, it's strong :bigjoint:

Very very nice and what amazing photos! I reckon the smoke off Dusk is going to be really strong and couchlocky! Maybe Dawn could be your daytime smoke and Dusk your night time smoke? The names fit as well!! How cool is that?!
I would say you're right about Dawn being ready in a weeks time, can not wait until then! Well done! :clap::weed:

Yeah I think you're right about the different smokes - and the names matching coincidentally is very cool, what I love most about how things have gone down haha!

Good thing I haven't decided on my auto grow strains, I was thinking indica but if this is already the "sleepwell" weed, I can still change my mind ;)

Dawn's trichs were looking good enough:

The lower regions were less ready, but ready enough to not warrant leaving them on for another few days:

610g wet weight off Dawn - minus a handful of budparts that came off during trimming, which we decided not even to weigh as they're going to get smoked soon enough ;)
And some 80g trichome-rich trim, which will get canna-oiled I think.

Oh and Dusk got finished off in the end too, we didn't even bother weighing haha, maybe another 3-4g dry - those last buds from the undergrowth were really fluffy

Last week's harvest - the rightmost clothes hanger in the closet pic - has come down to 24g, in part due to drying but also because 4 of the 17 colas met a quick-drying, quick-smoking fate lol

It's now at 74% RH and set to cure slowly with 62% Boveda packs.

Ahh the time has come! By the look of those trichomes she will be a nice daytime smoke for you!
It looks amazing and like a very decent yield! I'm going to say 177grams, a bit specific I know but would like to hear the final number and see how close I am! lol
How will you be making the canna-oil?
I've used the Boveda packs before in my jars and they do a great job!

Actually, I think I've tripped myself on the canna oil thing - I froze the sugar leaves from Dusk thinking ice hash and then added Dawns cuttings to it... so now, I really don't know lol
you have to decarboxylate the weed for the thc to become effective since the oil apparently doesn't reach that temperature for long enough -- but when the leafage thaws, it'll go mush :o
